Some reports are saying, " As Lucas’s character was an employee of the Doctor’s wife, River Song, it is possible that the episode could also see the return of fan favourite Alex Kingston as River. "
Matt Lucas' character wasn't too bad to be honest but can't see that as a regular character.

In other news David Tennant and Catherine Tait will be appearing in the Audio series
While waiting for the Christmas special...

Possibly a sign of things to come?
^ a good story to choose. Mark Gatiss must certainly think so anyway, since he ripped off the central "Daleks pretending to be humans' servants" motif for the Matt Smith Dalek / Churchill / WWII mash up episode, even down to almost replicating the Dalek dialogue (the repeated "I-AM-YOUR-SEVANT" line of the original becoming the repeated "I-AM-YOUR-SOLDIER" in the rip-off, sorry, the "homage" Wink ).

The animated missing old episodes they've done for some DVDs like "The Moonbase" and "The Invasion" have been pretty good I thought.
Probably look better in a lot of cases than the original episodes did !

Not sure if the expense of animating whole missing stories rather than just one or two episodes out of 4,6 or 8 will stack up commercially though , all the "fans" will just download illegal copies from t'internet ? TongueRolleyes
I've only recently caught up with the last 2 or 3 DVDs I hadn't got, and then this happens! I think the animations tend to be a good format to compensate for the missing actual pictures. But even with all the will in the world, I can't see them doing too many of these.
^ Agree on all counts. I was disappointed they didn't animate the missing episode of "Web of Fear" for the DVD.
I was not that disappointed they didn't animate the missing episodes of "The Underwater Menace" !!

Still baffles me how they can find all the episodes of a serial bar one in the middle ?
Did somebody steal it ? Who thinks, oh, I'll just take episode 3 and leave the rest ?
Must be somebody pretty clued up : "Aha, the first appearance of The Brigadier, that'll be worth a few bob to a collector, I'll just take that one".
^ The fact that the still 'missing' episode of Web features the first appearance of the highly regarded recurring character Lethbridge-Stewart was always suspicious.

Philip Morris - the guy that found Web - says that when he first found it and Enemy of the World in Jos, Nigeria, ca.2010 (the guy is often quite circumspect about when and where he has been on his long searches for all missing British TV) all the episodes of each serial were there. When he went back to retrieve them some months later the station head left in charge of the find denied all knowledge that there was now a 16mm film print missing!

Someone (presumably a wealthy collector or fan who had heard rumours of the find) had got to him/it in the meantime.

At a recent Staburst convention, Morris promised that he has leads on its whereabouts and is confident of its eventual return to the archives.

It's an under-rated classic, I'll have you know eek

Philip Morris is a bit of a space cadet, that's the trouble. Finding the episodes he did is staggering and well deserving of his place in the history of the show... but I think the odds of finding many more (let alone everything else) are the odds of Donald Trump going skinhead.
