Kind of makes you want to keep watching to discover just what the heck its all about. My advice this time around is keep the lovey-dovey shit to a minimum. After all, there was plenty of entertainment for 40 odd years without it.

Oh and keep River Song away from that TARDIS. Can't f##king stand her!

I could not agree more. Also lets have no more exploring the Doctors tender and loving human side...he's an alien for fucks sake. Keep to the simple premise of Doctor fights and defeats bad aliens and everyone is happy. Worked for donkeys years and is why there are so many fans. Why the producers feel they know better and want to mess with it is beyond me.

They have brought back previous Doctors and assistants for the 10th and 20th anniversary's so its only right they do something similar for the 50th
Will Freema Agyman be making an appearance ?
Martha Jones was the fittest assistant he's had imo ..

at the end of season 4 with the doctor-donna, a copy of the dr and the dr. the copy and rose were together in a parralle universe so i assume matt smith's dr ends up being pulled there or vice versa.

i like the interaction between clara and the dr, river song wont be happy.
Eccles* ain't doing the anniversary special (the other Drs don't look likely either).

*Chris Eccleston, that is, not the forum poster of the same name
I think this sums up last night's show...

Looks like the classic 70's enemy the Ice Warriors from Mars make their return in this Saturdays episode. Dear BBC producers please do not fuck this up. No modern twists, no trying to 'touch base' with their inner souls and no turning them in house servants. Ideally they will be menacing and warlike and in the first two minutes they will kill River Pond with a disintergrating modulator Big Grin

or turn her into river puddle.BounceTonguelaugh

it is a shame that they dont go back to the original way doing the series where they had 4-8 episodes with one, maybe two, enemy.
Sadly, River Song cannot die during the Eleventh Doctor's tenure. We already know she dies when she meets him in his Tenth incarnation in 'Silence In The Library' / 'Forest of the Dead'. It looks like she's here to stay for the Eleventh's reign. The storyline's continuity suggests that she knows him when he becomes Twelve too. Shame I know - she is for me one of the most annoying and unnecessary companions ever. Sad

As for the 50th anniversary, I was really hoping that they'd bring at least two former doctors back. I know Tennant is returning but would also have loved to see Eccleston's Ninth doctor alongside Tennant's Tenth and Smith's Eleventh. Couldn't they bring McGann's Eighth back for a cameo? In my opinion he's not too old to play the part. They brought Peter Davison's Fifth back for 'Time Crash' and were able to explain the older appearance with a neat story.
