They only appeared once 50.5 years ago, so that's before even most (all?) of the S66 Cougars/Golden Girls/whatever the hell they're called this week were born laugh
Interview with Pearl Mackie

Gets a thumbs up from me "The Pilot", very good from start to finish. Pearl Mackie will be a very good companion I think. Very funny lines from her in this ep
Naff end, it seemed to be just to shout she was gay.
I thought it was alright. Certainly an improvement on the last series.

Agreed. At least the new companion-Doctor relationship was not played to the outright silly tone the very first trailer suggested. And we may actually be in for some much welcome wonderings of the universe again this year as opposed boomeranging to Earth all the time for no apparent reason.

I've a feeling that this may be the missing explaination for 'the water's' ability to time travel - with the campus sorch marks and fluid being remnants of the master's faulty TARDIS and him after whatever's in the vault.

More I assume Bill's crush will return for the finale (another of Moffat's faults is his absolute inability to leave characters dead-dead - I'm sure he'd fcuking resurrect Adric for Easter if he could! Tonguebladewave ) and that Chinball has been offered the prospective of a lesbian TARDIS crew to open his tenure - I'm sure he'd like that (anyone who knows his episodes of Torchwood will understand Wink )! The reboot of this series could well extend to two Earth companion discussing the immediate aftermath of Capaldi's regeneration for the audience's benefit.

...God ive seen too much Who over the year's haven't I?! BlushSurprised
‘Doctor Who’: The Next Doctor Rumored to Be ‘Chewing Gum’s’ Black Female Star

I think we all know he's going to be a ladies man with spiky hair and a camera...

...well it's about as sensible as any press rumours, innit?

This week's episode was a bit of a nothingness, SJA-type crap robots, a beautiful but empty setting, z-list guest stars who are only in it for about 5 minutes anyway... it's a good job Capaldi can do a passable Tom Baker impression at times, and Pearl Mackie is defying expectations by being quite good.
I thought this was another OK episode. Bit of a hotch-potch of previous ideas, but Capaldi seems much better with Pearl Mackie. There were a few tonal lapses I would have thought could have been avoided (a baddie called Sutcliffe, really?) and an omission of Bill's earlier stuff about slavery when it came to freeing the creature, but generally it was OK.
On w+1 channel (Sky 213) right now is the episode "Fires Of Pompeii" which includes appearances from Peter Capaldi & Karen Gillan before they became The Doctor & Amy Pond

As for yesterday's episode on bbc1 thought it was a good solid episode myself. Pearl Mackie is a very good companion already
