That was good, I enjoyed it Smile

Yes, but it's when they try too hard to make them 'special', is often when it falls on it's face.

Going back to one companion is much better as well. Keeps it focused.
That was one of the biggest problems with the Whittaker era, too many companions. It was all over the place a lot of the time.

I liked the episode, it was a bit mad and ridiculous but fun and emotional. Neil Patrick Harris was great, dodgy German accent and all.
Well I agree about Neil Patrick Harris, he was one of the best things about it all. As was the first half of it, especially the Soho scenes, with some good creepy Toymaker stuff. But then it all kind of fell apart, with RTD as usual messing with established mythology to give the Tennant fandom what they wanted.

On a level I think it's a little bit unfair on Ncuti Gatwa. Every new Doctor up until now is immediately established as the definitive version, think he's been a bit robbed of it.
I thought it was mainly OK, if a bit derivative at times.

To me, the rest of this article seems as perfectly pitched as the quote above. Too many on both sides of the NuWho debate seem to want to make everything about it as divisive as possible. Some of us are simply tired of both lots and want our silly but charming show back. Use something else as your ideological football rather than beloved franchises. (Course then the blunt unsubtle attempt at social engineering would be less visible.)

Some people are disengaging with the show and the vocalizations of its community simply because each viewer/contribution becomes part of each sides' megaphone. It's all getting a bit daft.
Just got round to watching the episodes. Not bad overall, with the third being the better episode for me.

Had a little chuckle when the TARDIS caught fire, as something that transformed itself as it did, could surely have installed a fire suppression system. (Before anyone says anything, I know it would ruin the randomness of creating plot points when the TARDIS goes haywire.) WinkTongue
