Im so out of touch with Dr Who, i still havent watched the 2009s xmas special :S i favoured watching all of Torchwood instead, after ive finished watching the latest series of Futurama i'll get back to The Who Smile
Okey dokey all done, dedicated 4 days to it and now i've watched every episode from the Xmas special 2009,to the full series with Matt Smith and the 2010 Xmas special Smile
All in all a great series and excellent new Doctor,i nearly cried at the end of the Vincent Van Gogh episode Big Grin

P.s don't tell Mrs chimpy but i love Amy Pond, she makes the cutest faces so many times and her eyes are amazing Smile
I run the risk of sounding human, but I too can barely wait for the new series (did somebody mention a new season? Spring's always a winner for me, birds a-singing, crocuses a-blooming, and the seasonal migrants - yes, the very first of the year's caravanners, lost and bewildered, clogging up our hopelessly inadequate, provincial road networkannoyed). Stetsons are cool.
I've now really warmed to Matt Smith's portrayal; just the right level of outsider geekiness and clumsy faux-pas, the balance of humour and darkness is about right, and the costume! Oh, the costume... looks like a geography teacher, oh you gotta love that! So very Who.Smile

So, anyone got a favourite idea for an ep? I want to see more Victoriana/steampunk; a "Murdoch Mystery"-type storyline done Who-style, or a story based around the Spring-Heeled Jack flap maybe?
Theres bound to be an episode where he meets Tommy Cooper and all kinds of Fez related shenanigans happen Big Grin
Great news everybody the new series's of Doctor Who kicks off tommorow night at 6PM on BBC1. Something that actually makes your licence worthwhile paying for. This season is supposed to be much darker than last year's too. Looking forward the long wait is almost over now.
yep cant wait either. does look very good indeed.
Going by what's I've heard about the new series is to expect a lot more dramatic twists and turns than last season's. My only criticism on Season 5 was at times it almost seemed like you were watching childrens BBC but all in all it was still a great success and a hugely enjoyable series to watch and to replace David Tennant was certainly a massive act to follow but credit to Matt Smith and karen Gillan for making the parts their own.
I too am looking forward to the return of Doctor Who, the little snippets shown look excellent.I did have some early misgivings but I think Matt Smith makes an excellent Doctor and as for Amy Blush

However it will be tinged with sadness for me as it comes so soon after the very sad death of Elizabeth Sladen.
I have to admit I was never really a big fan of the 70's or 80's Doctor Who series's. But nonetheless RIP to Elizabeth Sladen because without her and others for laying down the foundations of the show and making it a success in the early years we just wouldn't be sitting here discussing or looking forward to a new series's tommorow.
moffat and dr who are a perfect fit.

ever since the relaunch each series has better than the previous one. so this new series hsa great expectations and hopefully delivers the goods.

elisabeth sladen is a great lost to acting and the dr who world. 63 and looking great in series 4 of sarah jane adventures. i do hope they can continue with sarah jane adventures maybe under a new name or do what they did with taggart.
