Oh dear...this does not bode well.

Doctor Who will change forever after this season's dramatic finale, according to executive producer Steven Moffat.
Moffat, who has also written episodes of the hit BBC show, has promised some big surprises at the end of this series, according to Digital Spy.
The writer, who is also behind cult series Sherlock, said the final episode, The Name Of The Doctor, would "change the course of Who forever".
He also said: "It's full of surprises and questions that have never been answered in the history of Who, including the Doctor's greatest secret.
"We'll also find out what makes his new companion [Clara, played by Jenna-Louise Coleman] so impossible and there's a surprise that no-one has got right so far.
"All I can say is that Clara hasn't just met the Doctor three times before."
Jenna-Louise's character has previously appeared on the sci-fi programme as space traveller Oswin and Victorian governess Clara, and the Doctor has spent recent episodes trying to find out why she has multiple identities.
The next episode The Whispermen features a brand new foe for the Doctor, played by Matt Smith, which Steven said will be terrifying: "Having brought back two of the classics, the Ice Warriors and the Cybermen, this year we wanted a brand new monster to create chills in the finale.
"And the thought of stylish, whispering, almost faceless creatures was an idea that firstly scared me and that I thought would work well in an episode that looks forward and back."

I am taking a wild stab in the dark here. My guess is the new Doctor might be Clara....that is why she is impossible. I heard they might consider a female Doctor at some point and given the BBC's political correctness....bladewave

Waking up he finds he has been transported by an evil intelligence into an alternative dimension. Here he celebrates his first wedding anniversary to 100 River Ponds. The more the merrier is the idea.
The episode sees the Dr running around a lot, in a variety of directions with his sonic screwdriver held at arms length, resolving everything. Just as all seems hopeless the evil intelligence reveals itself as a harmless juvenile gas cloud entity trapped in a nonsensical vacuum. They all live happily ever after.
Just needs a dubious subplot involving our ageless hero slobbering over kids and you could be the next showrunner! bladewave

I was thinking that too. So maybe he won't regenerate as such, but the energy would go into Clara and 'unlock' her timelord(iness). They could be subtly hinting at it with the way she's interacting with the Tardis. I do like Jenna, so I do think that could work if they got it right, but it is a big if. Taking a risk like that when they're not always getting it right (imo) could very well ruin the show, which would be a terrible shame.
I reckon that Clara is actually The Master, fractured accross time and space
Dr Who 1963-2013 RIP
Dr - You're the boss.
Clara - Am I?

Hmmm, so maybe she is the Master.

Nice bad guy btw...a fucking prehistoric lobster, people up and down the country would have been shitting themselves Rolleyes
No longer the scary sci if programme it used to be. They seem to have turned it into a children's comedy show. I've just ordered Genesis of the Daleks and Planet of Evil on dvd to honour the Old Dr Who I grew up with.
First of all, I'd like to say that I actually thought that things were getting better with the writing. Last week's story with the maze inside the TARDIS was very good. There was threat from the safest thing to the Doctor, the TARDIS itself. That premise made it a good episode. The reveal at the end seemed to work and made for an overall satisfying outcome.

Then this week - fuck me - they don't half know how to wreck it again. A red lobster thing, an old woman who hides the lobster thing under her dress, an over the top comedic Sontaran (Sontarans should be enemies not bloody comedy sidekicks) and then a fucking rocket which was the property of the weird red lobster thing.... oh Jesus. I said I wanted more threat and more death. So we get deaths but its associated with comedy. Wrong, wrong, wrong! Worst fucking episode of the series.

Perhaps next week's with the Cybermen coming back will be good again. Its just crying out for good stories and we're just not getting it enough. Sad

Oh and another thing... please don't let it be true that the Doctor is a woman or that Clara is the Doctor or the Master. If that happens it really will change it forever. It will ruin it forever too. No, no no. Sad
Don't want to burst your bubble but I'm sure I saw the Cybermen tap dancing to 'putting on the Ritz' in the end creditslaugh
I'm not sure I would be that surprised if that was to actually happen.
