I highly recommend these two blu rays the first one being Commando: Directors Cut, whats great about this blu ray is you get two versions of the film the normal cut and the directors cut version of the film which was only available as a region 1 dvd. The verison of the blu ray i picked was the steel book version and there is a normal blu ray version available. Its a really nice looking steel book with awesome art work on the front, back and inside the steel book even better that the steek book has a gloss finish.
The picture is really good not perfect as there are signs of grain here and there but nothing to spoil the enjoyment of the film, the sound quality is 5.1 DTS-HD so it sounds really good. Extra's wise as I said above two versions of the film, commentary on both versions and two featurettes and deleted scenes.
The second blu ray is The Equalizer starring Denzel Washington, The picture is pretty much perfect, every looks crystal clear and the dark colours and tones pop out on the screen, sound quality wise again pretty much perfect the audio is 7.1 DTS-HD MA. Extras wise there tons on the disc and also blu ray exclusive extras and you get a Digital HD copy of the film well worth picking up as its dropped to under a tenner
I know its been out a while but just got round to picking up Lucy on blu ray, wanted to wait for a price drop but gone one better and the steel book version dropped down in price so i picked it up.
It a really looking steel book with great art work only thing i would have added is a gloss finish to the steel book.
Over the picture and sound transfer is stunning, there's only a couple of extras and you get a digital copy of the film not bad for under a tenner Smile
American Sniper (hmv steelbook edition) comes in a very nice steelbook which has very good artwork on outside and inside. Get 2 copies of the film (bluray & digital copy) and good extras
Picked up The Amazing Spider-Man 2 steel book from
HMV now I already have the normal blu ray version of the film and already reviewed so won't review it again but had to pick it as the art work on the steel book is stunning and parts of the front of the steel book is embossed. Extra bonus as the steel book was only £9.99 we'll worth picking it up.
I highly recommend Desperado on blu ray, the version I picked up was the 20th Anniversary Limited Edition Steelbook what I like about the artwork on the steel book is that it's very striking even better is that it has gloss finish. The picture is really good and as always a 1080p transfer and it's step up from the dvd version. The sound quality is stunning you get 5.1 DTS HD MA transfer it's so good that if you a home cinema system you can here stuff going around in the background gunshots, knives being thown etc etc.
Extras wise you get commentary, a 10 min more feature and two music videos plus a digital copy of the film, whether you go for the normal blu ray or steel book it's well worth picking up whether you've never owned it or have the dvd version. A classic film from director Robert Rodriguez.
I highly recommend 22 Jump
street on blu ray I picked up the steel
book version which is £8.99 and if use the code at zavvi steels10 you get a extra 10% off the price. It's a great looking steel book for a great film which I found as funny as the first one which is rare for a sequel to do.
The picture and sound transfer is amazing there's a ton of extras including blu ray exclusive extras plus a digital copy of the film. You can also pick up the first film
21 Jump Street as a steel book for only £5.39 at zavvi and same discount code works. We'll
Worth having in your collection. Smile
I highly recommend Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues blu ray steel book I review the blu ray a few months ago but had to pick this steel book up as at one point this steel book was a exclusive and was going for £24.99 on eBay I found it for £5.08 brand new and not only does it have fantastic art work but even better a full gloss finish well worth picking up if you can find this cheap.
HaHa, just bought that myself earlier this evening for £5.11, thought that was a great price but now i feel robbedBig Grin
