does any one have lord of the rings extended blu ray because i got the normal extented but was wandering if the extras were good enough to warrant me getting the blu ray version. also there are lots of "lost scenes" like these which i wandering if they were on the blu ray version.

I haven't got the Lord of The Rings - Extended Blu ray box set but its worth picking up, comes with 15 disc's each of the 3 films comes on two disc's and theres tons of extras. as far as i know the extras are the same as the dvd extended box sets with one or two new features. I personally i would still pick it as i heard the transfer of the picture and sound is one of best around and the whole presentation of box set is well worth it if your a big fan of all three films. I just haven't got it yet as am waiting for the price to drop a little before i pick but i will be getting it at some point. Here's a link to the full list of extras on the box set, hope this helps:

im a massive fan and will get it but like you i will wait for the price to drop, best price i found is £44.99 on amazon. the normal blu ray ( not extended) is only £15 on play, so £30 extra because its extended seems a bit stupid.
Same with me there it will drop down in price at some point, something thing happened with the Smallville Final Season and Superman collection blu ray box sets they were quite dear and then they dropped down in price and was worth picking at the price they dropped down too Smile.
Mission Impossible ( Ghost Protocol ) - this is the sort of movie blu ray was made for, superb sound and picture, not too many extras but it comes as a triple play edition so good value.

The extended are worth getting for the films completeness, it's not just a scene here or there it's 30 on the first, 40 on the second and 50 mins on the third giving the films a better flow. Think of the cut down version of metropolis to the full version, the full version actually seems quicker because of the more logical flow.

Not too sure, but I think the extras are the same.
Post script update (cannot edit old post) just watch a review of the theatrical blu rays, apparently they don't have the extras.
I highly recommend Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol on blu ray, first of all the picture quality is out standing, crystal clear in every scene. The sound is also top notch and hooked up to a 5.1 cinema system you hear every sound even those in the distance, you really hear the explosions too. There's a few extras but not a lot as i expected but there good all the same and the blu ray is a triple play so you get the blu ray, dvd and digital copy of them film Smile.
2 other blu ray films are highly recommend on blu ray are In Time and Machine Gun Preacher. Both film's have got crystal clear picture, the sound on both films are really great especially if you've got a 5.1 cinema system. In Time has a load of extras plus its a triple play so you get the blu ray, dvd and digital copy of the movie you can pick it up for just under a tenner. Machine Gun Preacher has no extras whats so ever which is very disappointing, its a Double Play blu ray so you get the blu ray and dvd copy of the film. I managed to pick up the film for about £3.30 brand new and it only came out a couple months ago and the film is around 16 pounds to buy. I have the Lord of The Rings Extended Edition blu ray box set on its way which i've been given as a belated birthday present and i have the film haywire on its way so i'll put up what i think of it when it arrives Smile.
