Tomorrowland A World Beyond

Picked this up dirt cheap a few weeks ago so I thought I would pick it up.
Picture quality wise as always it’s 1080p transfer and it’s stunning the picture looks crystal clear and no sign of grain. Sound quality wises it’s impressive having it hooked up to a home cinema system really benefits the film especially with big explosions trust me it’s worth it.
Extra wides there’s a loads available:

Remembering The Future: Personal Journey Through Tomorrowland: A World Beyond With Brad Bird.

Casting Tomorrowland: A World Beyond

A Great Big Beautiful Scoring Session

Animated Short: The Origins of Plus Ultra.

Brad Bird Production Diaries “The First”NASA”

Only negative is no digital copy but we all know Disney UK are tight with giving us digital copies of films unlike are American counterparts.
Added bonus is I picked this up brand new in Poundland for a pound.
King Kong (1933)

Picked this up in HMV.

PQ wise it's decent, not Wizard of Oz or Mr Smith Goes To Washington quality, but good for how it was filmed back in 1933.

Audio commentary with Ray Harryhausen, Ken Ralston, Fay Wray & Merian C. Cooper
I'm Kong: The Exploits of Merian C. Cooper
RKO Production 601: The Making of Kong, Eighth wonder of the World (A 159 minute seven part documentary)

Booklet about how King Kong came to be, featuring awesome artwork & production shots
Blade Runner : 2049(2017)

Steel book(4K UHD)

Picked this up in Granger Games for £30.

Despite a poor box for office to budget comparison, the film really delivers on all levels for a viewer and fans of the original.Paying homage to Ridley Scott's all time great without being restricted by its legacy.Stunning in 4K and the Steelbook looks fantastic,I would have liked more extras though.

Extras :

Making of
Featurettes(a 20 minute Designing The World of Blade Runner being the best)
Prologues
Also got Black Sabbath(1963)from a midweek market for £10.

A great selection of terror tales from Italian director Mario Bava, each introduced by Boris Karloff.Featuring both the US and the superior European cut of I Tre Volti Della Paura(The Three Faces Of Fear).

The Bridge on the River Kwai(1957)for £10

Alec Guinness in brilliant form as a British colonel who refuses to buckle as POW in a Japanese camp.Decent two disc set that could do with more extras than just the few additions slapped on top of the stuff from an earlier release.Looks outstanding in 4K.

Trailers
Gallery

Also got Phenomena(1985)for £8

A devisive but also essential horror from Dario Argento starring Jennifer Connelly as boarding school pupil who uses her ability to communicate with insects to help an entomologist(Donald Pleasance)solve a series of gruesome murders in the Swiss Alps.

Extras :

Commentary

The Last Witch Hunter

Picked this up as blu ray steelbook as I found it brand new at such low price. The critics didn’t like the film at the time of release for me I didn’t find it that bad at all and really enjoyed.
The artwork on the steelbook has a very striking and parts of the front of the steelbook are debossed, you get artwork on the front and back and inside too I would have loved to see it have a gloss finish but it’s only a matte finish.
The picture quality as always is 1080p and the transfer looks deep and rich with the dark colours and every looks highly detailed. The sound quality is equally as impressive with its 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio with a home cinema system the sound is even better.

Extras

Crafting The Magic: The Last Witch Hunter.

Animated Short Films - The Origins of The Axe and Cross: Before Mankind, The Witch Lords, The Witch Hunter, Witches Live Among Us.

The Last Witch Hunter Sizzle Reel/Paint It Black.

Deleted Scenes: Fear Potion, Ellic’s House.

Commentary With Director Breck Eisner.

No digital copy which is shame.

Picked it off eBay for £4.99 and free postage and packing. The images below are of the front, inside and back.
A good recommendation for fans of 80s style throwback action,Wolf Warrior II(2017)

I bought in Tesco for £10.

Basically a Chinese Rambo/Commando copy with loads of well choreographed fightsand action and a worthy sequel to excellent original.Disappointing extras though for such a massively successful film.

Extras :

Featurettes
Also from Tesco at a price of £12,I recommend The Florida Project(2017)

A really fresh US indie film set at a run down Florida motel near Disneyland and dealing with a mother and daughter who live a carefree life despite being on the bread line.Wonderful acting from all involved, including Willem Dafoe in a brilliant supporting role.

Extras :

Making of
Interviews
Outtakes
Automata

Heard if this film but didn’t know what it was about and as I saw it dirt cheap I thought it wouldn’t hurt to pick it up.
The picture transfer looks great no grain or anything as with the sound transfer that was great too having a home cinema system benefits the sound and enhanced it. Extras wise you only get a making of and a Interview with Antonio Banderas plus you get a digital copy of the film.
The added bonus is I picked this up brand new for a pound, also really like the black case.
