Play.com are currently selling the Zombieland limited edition Steelbook for £7.99. One of the better Steelbooks around, it has great artwork as well as being a great movie.
Two bargains on Amazon at the moment the Back To The Future Trilogy and The Jurassic Park Trilogy both on blu ray £8 each Smile.
Just got the Lord of The Rings on Blu Ray from Sainsbury's for £10. I consider that a bargain.
Just need to get in training now to watch all of them, especially the last one, The Return of the King....the film that didn't want to end Big Grin
I remember at the cinema the audience getting up and sitting down about 4 or 5 times thinking it had ended only to find it hadn't laugh
Also just got the extended directors cut of Total Recall. Not officially out until Boxing Day, the shop staff were only too happy to sell it me early, despite my best protests.Smile
Highly recommend Prometheus on blu ray, this is a very good transfer. A full 1080p transfer of the film not only is the film totally crystal clear but not a hint of grain any where. All the images on screen always look highly detailed and dark colours look exceptional deep and rich which is all good as it suits mood and tone of the film.
Sound quality again here is exceptional hearing everything playing home cinema system everything here is either 5.1/DTS again with the sounds going on through out the film you really benefit from having this set up.
There's a good set of extras here including an alternate beginning and ending and also a digital copy and a Prometheus App for iPhone and Android phones. One bonus with the digital copy is when you download it you also get the extras too.
Now its only £9.99 online so its well worth having this in your collection Smile.
I highly recommend the Total Recall reboot on blu ray, now am a big fan of the classic Arnie version and that one for me will always be the classic film not to say that i won't enjoy the new take on the film hence why am recommending it.
The blu ray transfer is simply gorgeous a full 1080p transfer, not only is the picture crystal clear and crisp but not a hint of grain in sight, with the fast pace action everything always looks highly detailed. The colours are deep and rich giving you a images through out the film am very impressed here.
The sound is always also very good, a full 5.1/DTS sound when played through a home cinema system again out standing.
You get to versions of the film the cinema version and extended cut which is 20 mins longer, you also get loads of extra's here including a ultra violet copy of the film and if your a PS3 owner like myself you get the God of War: Ascension demo to play on the PS3, the blu ray also comes with 2 discs. There is a HMV exclusive Steel Book version to buy. Aside from all that is well worth having in your collection Smile.
we must have a psychic link kalel76 as i bought the total recall reboot this morning in tesco's for just £15 (which is a bargain for a new release). i saw it at the cinema when it was out there and it was really good, a brilliant new take on the book that the arnie version and this version are based on. youll really enjoy it will be getting the steelbook soon as ive got the arnie total recall bluray steelbook

as well as the total recall reboot i also bought today and reccommend a lot the complete matrix trilogy on bluray especially as you can get it for just £10 at tescos. you get all 3 films in the matrix trilogy in full 1080p and 5.1 sound and a heck of a lot of extras
Psychic link i bloody hope not Bounce lol
Blade Runner 30th anniversary collectors edition. get 5 versions of blade runner spread over 3 bluray discs along with a lot of extras. also get a blade runner art book and a limited edition model of the spinner car
I highly recommend the blu ray The Expendables 2, now this version is the HMV blu ray steel book exclusive. Now it comes in nice black matte finish with a image on the front and back on the steel book, it was a little disappointing that there's no inside art work which is real shame here and its similar to the first Expendables steel book which came out last year.
Again like with all blu ray films its a full 1080p transfer, the picture quality looks clear and crisp and loads of detail, there's is some grain here and there but nothing too serious to spoil the film. The sound quality is superb you really get the full benefit of having this hooked up to home cinema system and hearing everything in either 5.1 or DTS. As for extras there a few on disc and as this is a HMV exclusive you get a bonus second disc which is the dvd version on the film the standard version of the film only comes with the blu ray copy of the film. There's also a directors cut version of the first film which i got a few months as well as the steel book of the first film this add's more to the film and fleshes out the story more so that one is also worth picking up too if your fan of the first film, all in all well worth picking up as a steel book collector and 80's fan of the action films.
