got a couple to recommend myself

Star Trek: Stardate Collection a fantastic 12 disc bluray boxset that includes the first 10 star trek films (star trek: the motion picture - star trek nemesis) in full hd picture quality and top quality hd sound. the first 10 discs are the 10 star trek films, each film gets 1 disc which has the film along with some good extras including a commentary for each film. there are also 2 discs which are full of lots of star trek bonus content. it does seem expensive at around £70 (I paid £69.99 for it) but it works out at £7 a film which is very good value for money I think

Grimm Season 1. a fantastic 5 disc box set which has all 22 episodes from the excellent 1st season of grimm. 4 discs have 5 episodes each on it and the 5th disc has the final 2 episodes on it along with a good amount of extras. I got it for £16.99 in hmv which is really good price
Amazon are selling Dredd at the moment for £7 bloody bargain:

The Batman steel books have there dates pushed back so instead of coming out on the 3rd of June there now coming out on the 24th of June these steel books consist of Batman Begins, The Dark Knight. The Dark Knight Rises with different art to the one that came out at the end of the year, Batman, Batman returns, Batman Forever, and yes even a steel of Batman and Robin. The cheapest place to get them from at the moment is Sainsburys online at £11.99 every where else your looking at £14 each.
Just got the blu ray box set of all 5 Superman movies for £12. Can't complain at that price and will get me in the mood for Man of Steel. Besides the usual run of BTS commentaries and features the box set also includes an old 1950's black and white TV series and the complete 1940's Superman cartoons.
is it the 8 disc Blu-ray superman Blu-ray box set or is it the 5 disc superman Blu-ray box set you've got bytor? ive got the 8 disc one
I still have the 13 disc dvd boxset of the films after upgrading to the 8 disc blu ray boxset i couldn't bare to part with it especially as it comes in a metal tin and the dvd housing holding the discs has art work from the different films and you get booklet with it too. Would have been the icing on the cake if the blu ray box set had come in the metal tin plus i heard its worth money now but as a Superman fan and collector am keeping it Smile.
a nightmare on elm street collection. a 5 disc set (4 bluray and 1 dvd) which has the first 7 films in the nightmare on elm street franchise in it. the only ones you don't get are freddy vs Jason and the nightmare on elm street remake that came out a couple of years ago.

the 4 bluray discs have the 7 nightmare on elm street films on them. disc one is just the original a nightmare on elm street film with lots of extras including 2 commentaries. the other 3 bluray films have the remaining 6 a nightmare on elm street films (2 films on each bluray disc) with a good amount of extras on each disc, no commentaries though. the dvd disc is full of more bonus content

can get it for £29.99 at hmv which is a very good price for what you get
Got a couple more blu ray's to recommend and both personally fav's of mine, first up is the classic epic film Ben Hur. It was none of fav films growing up, the film so big scale and there isn't many movies like this any more and even to to this day it still holds up to the modern films of today. As always its 1080p transfer the picture quality is crisp and clear, it has been restored and remastered frame by frame from the original camera negatives and it looks stunning. The sound quality as well is breath taking with the audio being 5.1/DTS transfer this film has never sounded or looked so good both been giving a amazing job and it shows.
As for extras theres a ton here the version i got is the 3 Disc Ultimate Collectors Edition so you get tons of extras, the film comes on two discs so half way through you gotta change to the second disc as the film is really long theres tons and tons of extras too many to mention including the 1925 silent version of the film. There is a steel book version of the film which comes in a gold finish but lose the extras. If your a a big fan of epic films its well worth having it in your collection.
The second blu ray i would highly recommend is the classic film Scarface, the one i got was the steel book version which Amazon at the time were selling really cheap. It comes in a bright red finish on the front and back of the steel book, what makes it even more special is that it has shiny gloss finish really making it stand out. You get art work on the front and back of the steel book with art work from the film in the inside.
Again you get a 1080p transfer, for the most part it looks really good and really stands out from the dvd version all tho in some scenes especially when its daylight you can see loads of grain in the background nothing too bad to spoil the film tho.
The sound quality is massive improvement over the dvd version, specially when there gun fire again here a 5.1/DTS sound transfer. As for extras theres a good hand full, plus as its a triple play you get the blu ray of the film, the dvd version and a digital copy. There are two other versions of the blu ray one a standard triple play minus the steel book of course or the single edition where you just the blu ray of the film. As Tony once said "say hello to my little friend" couldn't help it, well worth picking up Smile.
