Starship Troopers: Invasion-27th August
(This is not a live action movie- Apparently it's a cgi film from Japan. Saying that its supposed to be 80 minutes of good fun but does nothing for the starship troopers franchise (Mind you neither did the 2nd or the truly awful 3rd movie)

I've seen Invasion... and whilst it is not live action movie it is reasonably entertaining if you can get past the irony of them trying to improve the series of films by using a cartoon... Good film to sit back relax and not really concentrate on anything much

There was a CGI tv series about 10 years ago I seem to recall.
The Twilight Zone Season 1
This classic sci-fi/ horror series just sparkles on blu ray, it brought back some great memories for me, 36 episodes are spread over five discs, my particular favourite episode being "Time Enough At Last" starring Burgess Meredith as a flustered reader. I cannot recommend this set enough if you love 60s tv and with a fantastic set of extras including the 1957 Rod Serling drama "The Time Element" about the roots of the resulting series, this is a package of the highest order. i have season two on the way.

Popped into my local Cash Generator earlier today and bought the original "Day The Earth Stood Still" blu ray for £2.99!, a right bargain. Big Grin
close encounters of the third kind 2 disc special edition which you can get for less than £10 at hmv. you get 3 versions of the film, original cinema version, special edition and a directors cut and a 2nd disc full of extras.

terminator the sarah connor chronicles series 1 and 2. 8 discs containing all 31 episodes and lots of extras

also the darkest hour. a very good scifi film set in moscow with a largely unknown cast, most recognisable people in it are olivia thirlby who is in dredd 3D out in september and rachel taylor who was in the 1st live action transformers film. get 3D and 2D bluray versions, dvd and a digital copy
Paramount are releasing there Centenary Edition steel book collection as a play.com exclusive everything ranging from transformers, top gun, watchmen, war of the worlds, shutter island and Collateral and they all look really nice and not bad price at £10.99.
There's also premium collection steel books coming out of The Matrix, Inception, Seven and Blade Runner. All these steel books seem to come with a white background with images of the characters of each film, they come with the blu ray of course and a ultra violet digital copy are priced at about £17.99 and are available around the 12th of November and can be ordered from any online site. I've already pre ordered the Ghostbusters steel book as its one of fav films and i like the design of steel book even tho i have it on blu ray already, think i'll just keep the steel book one when its out as a collectors item Smile.
As part of there Mega Monday offers at Zavvi.Com, you can pre order the following steelbooks for £8.45 each :
Hellboy
The Evil Dead
Ghostbusters
They have a release date of 5/11/12 on the website.

Good for you Big Grin
This may . . . sound . . . stupid, but what exactly is blu ray

I tried looking it up, but its too technical

Is it a cheaper option for watching films on DVD?
