was meaning successful in that the resident evil film franchise has made a hell of a lot of money. the film itself isnt the best of the res evil films, the first one is the best. but it's an enjoyable scfi horror film none the less
I highly recommend the blu rays Taken 2 and Hot fuzz both of which are steel books. First Taken 2 comes in a grey and black colour steel book with the title on the front cover embossed, you get a great image of Liam Neeson on the front and back of the steel book with inside art work of Neeson as well. Its a lot better then the first Taken steel book, as for for the picture quality a full 1080p transfer of the film, the images look crisp and clear and there's very little grain on the transfer over all a impressive picture transfer. As for the sound you get a full 5.1/DTS transfer again here very impressive when its hooked up to home cinema system.
As for extras its a little disappointing there isn't a lot here but you do get a alternate ending which is only on the blu ray version of the film and you do get a ultra violet copy of the film.
Overall well worth having in your collection especially as the normal version of blu ray is the same price as the steel book.
The Hot Fuzz steel book looks very impressive with very striking images on the front and back of the steel book, its looks even more impressive due to the black and white colour of the steel book.
The picture quality is a full 1080p transfer and boy is it impressive not a scene of grain here in picture quality if your big fan of the film its well worth the upgrade from dvd.
As for the sound its a 5.1/DTS mix and its impressive, as for extras there's a load of extras. Great film and a great steel book well worth having in your collection.
Just a shame Taken 2 was not very good and no where near as good as the first.

I recommend the film Top Gun on blu ray not only is a great film but a classic one too. Now this is steel book version of the blu ray the standard version is exactly the same but of course with out the steel book. The steel book comes in a nice blue hue, you get great art work on front and back of the case also inside is art work from the film. The front of the steel book is embossed giving it a striking image a very impressive steel book.
The picture quality is amazing and is a step up from the dvd version, once again a 1089p transfer, visually the images are very striking with every image looking highly detailed and colour tones looking deep and rich, very impressive for old film.
The sound quality is just as impressive as the picture quality, you get here a 5.1 and DTS mix and when you have this playing through a home cinema system then this film really shines again i was very impressed.
As for extras theres a whole load here to watch including 4 music videos, interviews and other stuff on the disc.
If your a big Top Gun fan and have the dvd version or a big fan of the film then its well worth picking up.

just pre ordered my copy of skyfall from my local tescos. getting the blu ray triple play release (bluray, dvd and digital copy) paid just £14.99 which is a very good price for a bluray triple play release
My copy of Skyfall coming via Amazon as a steel book for the same price as the normal version.
Looks like Zavvi have taken over Play.com when it comes to limited edition steel books so keep a eye out on there site for future releases.
