yes i had the 9 dvd box set of the alien films and got the blu-ray alien anthology and id say the pic quality improved enough and some of the extras arent on the dvd box set version so get the xtras from the dvd box set + new ones
Just ordered the Superman Collection on Blu Ray, you get all the superman films including superman the movie, superman the movie extended cut, superman 2, superman 2 the Richard Donner cut, superman 3, and even the shit superman 4 and superman returns. All the film remastered picture and with dts sound. cheapest i have seen it for is for 37 quid but getting mine for 20 quid using a online voucher, i still have the superman 13 disc on dvd but keeping that as it comes in a special limited edition tin case Smile. Will you guys know what the films are like on blu ray when it arrives
Play.com have a summer sale with some big name blu ray's at £4.99.
I would highly recommend The Last Samurai on blu ray, Not only for me was it a epic film but in my view one of Tom Cruise's best films. I had this on dvd so i thought i may as well upgrade it on blu ray and boy was it worth it. The picture quality and sound are way better then what they were on dvd. The extras are the same as the dvd edition but for £.5.99 on blu ray its one hell of bargain and needs to picked up Smile.
I highly recommend the Superman Anthology on blu ray, i already have the 13 disc in a special tin boxset and wasn't sure at first whether to pick it up again but am really glad i did plus managed to get it brand new for 20 quid. The picture quality on all films are pretty much crystal clear on the older films its fuzzy in places but its not really a shock there, where as Superman Returns isn't fuzzy at all. All the films are also 5.1/DTS you hear every sound and even the sonic booms when superman is either flying or if something is blowing up, even on the older superman films it sounds like it was filmed recently. The picture is warn and rich and very detailed even spotted little things here and there that i didn't notice or hear before. As for the extras its well over 20 hours worth with a never seen before opening missing from the cinema version and there's a new extra that wasn't on the 13 disc set. Really can't wait to watch these films one by one soon. But if your Superman fan, or super hero fan you need to pick this up. Smile
Batman Anthology 1989-1997 this collection includes all four of the Batman films from the 80s and 90s, the quality of the films varies tremendously, from Tim Burtons superb Batman and Batman Returns to Joel Schumacher,s average Batman Forever and his appalling Batman and Robin. The picture quality is good and each film comes with a fair amount of extras. The boxset is currently available on Amazon for £9.99 so even if you only like the first two films it,s a real bargain.
I would highly recommend The Adjustment Bureau, seen some of film i know am gonna love it as it has two of my fav actors Matt Damon and Terence Stamp plus Emily Blunt who's looking gorgeous, Its a triple play so you get the blu ray, dvd and digi copy of the film, there's a few extras but not a ot which is a real shame. I was lucky enough to pick it up for 6 quid from asda as i had a ten pound voucher. Speaking of Asda there still doing some good blu ray deals like the A Team for 9 quid and Due Date for 7 quid and many more.

Minority Report - 9/10 this is one of my all time favourite films, Steven Spielberg,s superb film version of a Philip K Dick short story. An intense and highly intelligent film with a great performance from Tom Cruise , it looks superb on Blu ray with great picture and sound quality and plenty of extras some of which are exclusive to Blu ray. A digital copy is included in the price.

Highly recommended.
I agree i picked up the film too really good quality on blu ray and you can pick it up for just under a Tenner.
