The guy who finished 7th still ran under 10 seconds and if one hadn't pulled up injured they all might have.

yeah i think thats it! still a great day. looking at sum events 2moro, jason kenny going for gold in the sprint, hes looking gud, probably be up against the frenchman bauge in the final! beth tweddles going 2moro in the unever bars and i think its her time go beth! dont think we will get any sailing medals 2moro, but still got sum chances in the next week with the sailing! and then athletics in the evening, hoping bleasdale and dai greene can get sumthing! apparently we are also doing really well in the team and individual dressage and showjumping but not alot has been shown about it!

but not for long to be honest. realistic gold medal is mo farrah in the 5000m. stranger things have happened and if the british atheletes harness the energy from the crowd they could turn those 5th or 4ths into bronzes, bronzes into silvers and maybe silvers into golds.

"big" ben ainslie got gold in the fin class in the sailing. the dane and dutch sailors pissed big ben off by accusing him of hitting a marker in one race and big ben had to a penalty lap rather than challenge it with 2 to 1 in the officals office. you do not make big ben made he will come back and beat your ass.

murray a deserved olympic champion? there others in the games deserved their medals more than him, jess ennis came back from a carreer threatening ankle break and has to jump of her weaker left foot to protect the right ankle from the stress. mo farrah in the 10000m, the whole rowing teams (even the silver and bronze medalists) especially kath grainger.
powell seemed to have pulled a hammy but he does have history of failing to win in the big competitions like the worlds and olympics.

after winning the tour de france and time trial last wednesday, wiggo was about 10/1 on to win sports personality of the year and no1 else was anywhere near him! he is now only 2/1 on, murrays cum in to 4/1 against and jess is 9/4 against! it originally looked like wiggo was hands down to win it but now its not a sure thing! i think he will still win it thou and well deserved!
