Yeah, gutted for Vicky, such a shame. Well done on the last sprint for Australia, can't congratulate for the first one as I think it stank like shit!

Thanks for the golds V.P, good luck for the future.
It now all lies in the hands of the mighty Hoy!

sir chris of hoy legend, hoy is retiring from track cycling, i hope david brailsford keeps him near the team to pass on his experience and attitude to the young riders that will be coming through in the next few years.

one gb rider is having sour grapes moment http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/olympics/19147279
6 GOLDS for sir chrisSmile only a few behind phelpsWink
yeah people like hoy and redgrave wud never hav the chance to get as many golds as phelps, it wud be impossible! if u notice the most medals won at olympics all seem to be gymnasts and swimmers, more events they can go in! redgraves achievements easily equals phelps in my opinion but sum wont agree! anyway dont wanna start a debate on itSmile
Hoy is such a nice guy as well, amazing stuff.

Just listening to Laura Trott then you get a sense of perspective and achievement. They don't come across like spoilt footballers who just want more and more money. These athletes strive and work so hard to be on the top of their game. The big prize is the gold medal, not the cash!
I would agree to some degree, but I do think there are few footballers out there like Messi, who are down to earth and want success and not money. But unfortunately a fair majority of them are spoilt rotten and money is the ultimate goal

But I also think more and more young people around the world should look up and aspire to be athletes like Hoy, Bolt, Ennis, Pheleps or Farah. Olympic athletes deserve more coverage compared to footballers for what they do, what they have achieve and how they act outside sport
Wait . . . did two people get bronze?
we have equaled bejing 2008 with 47 medals.

chris broadman needs some congratulatoin has he is part of the techincal team called the secret squirrel club which looks at the other industries outside cycling and see what can be adapted to cycling like the hot pants they wear between warming up and going on the track to race bit like the tyre covers in f1 and also the crank shaft on the pedals are hallow carbon fibre. the french think the gb team have "magic wheels" after brailsford said, as a joke, we have rounder wheels in an interview with le euipe and le equipe had the headline british have round wheels.
