For those of you who only have free view, BBC1 will be the main Olympic channel. BBC3 will be the second sport channel and will broadcast 24 hours a day during the games.
301 will be the main red button service but there is also a 302, again just for the games. You may need to rescan your box if you can't see it on your channel list.
Therefore freeview viewers will have four Olympic channels.
BBC2 will only be carrying odds and ends of the games, except for the hour from 6.00 - 7.00pm when BBC1 are showing the news. For technical reasons BBC2 can't handle regional optouts on freeview which is why the local news has to stay on BBC1.
