It's a real shame to see Ed Clancy having to pull out of the Olympics and retire from competition because of back problems.

He's one of the unsung heroes of Cycling in this country and you'll never hear anyone say a bad word about him.
Denmark should have been disqualified from the team pursuit race but not for running into the Brit. That was just an accident although the Dane was totally at fault. They should have been disqualified for breaking UCI rules. In the first round on Monday all 4 of their riders had tape on their legs running up from their socks. That was to give them an aerodynamic edge and is illegal under UCI rules as you cannot put anything on a riders skin. A number of teams complained and they did not use it today but UCI rules make it clear that they should have been thrown out of the competition.

Teams also complained about the undergarments they were wearing which did not meet the requirement to have been commercially available for a year. One team claims that the website they are advertised on was retrospectively amended to claim they had been available.

It's clear that British track cycling is just on a downturn and other teams have improved greatly so as with rowing I expect fewer medals at major events until the next generation comes through.
I just watched a girl called Brighton in the skateboarding doing a move called a big backside so I thought I'd post a picture of a girl from Brighton with a big backside.
