Murray brothers and Williams sisters out of tennis doubles and Djokovic also out of tennis singles in the first round
Del Potro played out of his mind Surprised.
Absolutely staggering tennis to beat Djokovic.
Unbelievably good.
Hoping Murray can repeat the form he had at Wimbledon to defend his gold

only fencing we did at school was painting it after a mate put graffitti all over it Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue

It took me back watching the fencing yesterday to 1976 in Montreal when one of the Russian athletes in the Modern Pentathlon was disqualified for having a wired epee and was scoring hits when he
wasn't. Hope Safin gets drug tested, certainly by his reaction in beating our bloke, he could have been high on something.

Her line was totally wrong heading into the corner. She knew she was going to crash and the obvious skid suggests her rear was fully locked up but she wasn't stopping. She then grabbed a handful of front brake which sent her over the bars.

Spot on.
The rear brake was definitely working as you can see the wheel slide out initially in her attempt to shave speed off to make the angle. Then, as you say, she grabbed the front brake in desperation. There could be one further factor that helped contribute though; releasing the rear brake from the slide. In motor cycle terms known as a 'highside' where the rear wheel loses lateral grip then regains it violently.
Chuck in a dose of heavy front braking and you're going straight to the scene of the accident.

Yeah refs robbed the british guy number of decisions were overturned and when it reached 13-14 Ref allowed safin to slow it down by changing his sword and play for time so he could get to break and see his coach

apparently thats what happened to Thomas on last corner overcooked breaked and lost the back wheel and he ended up in the gutter

said the road was quite bumpy as well so prob front breaked as back wheel hits bumped and lifte which sent her over

good video from the side of road of the crash in realtime looks like back end slid as well https://youtu.be/eyxgToqzKR0?t=1m42s
Looking at the Women's rugby sevens knockout stages saw there were two extra semis played out between Brazil, Colombia Japan and Kenya both Japan & Brazil winning 24-0 respectively, would this have something to with the bronze medal or something? Our girls take on New Zealand in first semi tonight

Brazil in the men's football have been shocking two 0-0 against sides they should have comfortably beaten, I bet that 7-1 by Germany in 2014 drubbing still haunts them would not be surprised if no one turns up to watch their last game!!
I should think Neymar must be having a bad time!!
