When you're ranked 25th in the world and beat the 5th beast pairing in the world then it says a lot for their performance
What's the deal with the women's US sprint relay team?
^ They dropped the baton after the competitor in the next lane accidentally swung an arm into the American. They are being allowed to run again tonight on their own & if they get a time equal or better than the 8th fastest qualifying team they'll be allowed to qualify. The track has 9 lanes anyway so can handle an extra team.
They'll probably blitz the run to just get a decent draw if they qualify
I see that the Russian guy who supposedly beat Irish boxer Michale Conlan in the Quarterfinals was so battered by him that he failed to show up for the semi finals.
With the judges being sent home he had no chance of winning. He should have lost his first fight as well.

Jade Jones is a fighting machine. She can kick the crap out of me anytime.
Mick Conlan was very unlucky in that fight.
What the judges were watching goodness only knows.
Very very poor.
Felt really bad for him.
