^^^Yeah, I think they've done right to DQ them. You can't reward them for basically trying to cheat. You don't spend years saying "be the best in the Olympics" and then go "play the system instead".

Yeah, she did fuck up their! Remember she was intervied on some show and said she thought had had his teeth kicked out by a horse and didnt realise that it was his natural teeth. Liam got a complete makeover as a result. Everyone makes mistakes, and in this case i think it was genuine.

No, totally incorrect. The players were doing their best to win medals. Faced with tougher opponents in the next round the players sensibly employed a bit of cunning. They were losing in order to make winning more likely. The players should be congratulated on doing some planning and deciding how best to try and win medals.

Trouble is, in legal terms there's a world of difference between "cheating" and "playing the system" .

What they did was against the spirit of the game but they will probably appeal on the grounds that they didn't break any rules and there's a good chance they will be reinstated, and if they aren't LOCOG will quickly be hearing from the players lawyers.

"Well they shouldn't have done it" is not going to succeed in a court of law. The reason so many sports governing bodies have been giving a kicking in the courts over the years is because they have naively tried to make up rules after the event in circumstances such as this and then tried to apply them retrospectively.

Mind you, it would be ironic if the Chinese brought a lawsuit under Human Rights Legislation!!
