3rd Test SCG Day 2

Steve Smith recorded his first century for16 months as he added a hundred run3rd wicket partnership with Labuschagne who fell for 91, which then saw the last 7 wickets falling for 106 runs, with Smith getting little help from the middle & lower order. Starc was the only other notable contributor, with some late hitting.
India made a solid reply, with Gill reaching a half century, after he & his opening partner Rohit Sharma were dismissed, Pujara & Rahane dug in with almost half of the 45 overs bowled being maidens. So far the 3rd wicket has added 11 runs from 77 balls.

Australia lead India by 197 runs with 8 wickets remaining
At 195-4 India looked well placed to gain parity with Australia, but lost their last 6 wickets for 49 runs. poor running & superb fielding contributed to 3 run outs. Australia are strong favourites to go one up in the series, with only one Test to play.

India trail Australia by 308 runs with 8 wickets remaining
3rd Test SCG Day 5n match Drawn

A great effort by India batting out the final day for a draw, thanks in the main to a 148 4th wicket partnership between Pujara (77) & Pant (97). Vihari & Ashwin added an unbroken 6thwicket stand of 62. India finished the day on 334-5, surviving 131 overs in all. Lyon bowled 46 overs with 2-114 & Hazelwood had impressive figures of 16-12-39-2.
Roy (74 no) & Livingstone (54) combined for an opening stand of 123 in the Big Bash, with Perth Scorchers easily chasing down the 139-5 set by the Hobart Hurricanes, with22 balls to spare.
Moeen Ali is still isolating & will miss the 1st Test against Sri Lanka on Thursday, Chris Woakes is out of isolation, but it is unlikely that he will be ready to play. The preparation has been hampered by rain which has affected practice matches.
Sri Lanka won the toss and bat first in Galle

5 overs in the first 30 minutes Rolleyeslaugh.
Mainly due to movement behind the sightscreen.
In a behind closed doors match laugh.

Edit: Broad has claimed the first wicket. Sri Lanka are 16-1.

10 overs in the first hour, a complete joke, no spectators in the ground, this happens all too often, cricket shoots itself in the foot yet again
