2nd Test day 4 Close - New Zealand lead India by 325 runs with 4 wickets remaining.

(I got so excited the previous day that I thought it was day 4 & not 3.)

New Zealand 571-6 McCullum 281 not out Neesham 67 not out Watling 124

352 - B B McCullum & B J Watling - Highest 6th Wicket Partnership -all teams
I watched it all.
What a phenomenal effort by New Zealand to fight back.
McCullum and Watling showed immense powers of concentration and even after Watling was dismissed NZ held firm.
Really hope McCullum gets his triple century. Totally deserves it, he must be knackered though eek.
And after all that he has to captain his troops in the field as well eek.
Amazing effort.
McCullum has said that it is not a given that they will bat on into day 5.A win would be unlikely, but India have a long batting line-up who could chase anything on a pitch that is still playing well.
After all the hard work a draw will give New Zealand the series win & the highest Test score is 299 by who many believe to be their best ever batsman,Martin Crowe.
I intend to watch the whole final day tonight even though I will be totally zonked for work in the morning Rolleyes.
It has been quite a match and the first test was close too.
McCullum edges to Dhoni off the bowling of Sharma but it failed to carry. Please don't spoil the script.
Neesham gets to his ton & record breaking McCullum makes 302.

But why not declare immediately with a lead of 379,as he is out 2 balls later.
Crazy ODI today as Sri Lanka collapsed to 67-8,recovered as they were bowled out for 180 in 30 overs with Thisara Perera making 80 batting at nine.

Bangladesh were well on course at 114-2,but then collapsed to 167 all out.
New Zealand 680-8 dec

India 166-3 Kohli 105 not out

Match drawn
Thrilled for McCullum to reach his triple hundred.
Great innings.
Graeme Swann will be joining the BBC Test Match Special team for England's ODI/T20 Tour of the West Indies.
