SA v BAN 2nd ODI Johannesburg
Bangladesh won the toss & elected to bat
BAN 194-9 Afif Hossain 72 Mraz 38 Mahmudullah 25 Rabada 5-39
SA 195-3 (37.2overs) de Kock 62 Verrynne 58 no Bavuma 37 no
Not sure why de Kock didn't play in the 1st ODI, but he's just reach 50 from 26 balls, makes batting so easy.
Pakistan V Australia 3rd Test Lahore Day 1 Close
Australia won the toss & elected to bat
AUS 232-5 (88 overs) Khawaja 91 Smith 59 Naseem 2-36 Shaheen 2-39
Pakistan looked relatively comfortable at 248-3 until the combination of Cummins & Starc blew them away with the las 7 wickets falling for 20 runs, & the last 4 fell without a run being added.
Pakistan picked 5 front-line bowlers in an attacking move to give themselves better option to win the match, which has backfired. Australia have now found a genuine allrounder in Green, giving balance to their side, & with Starc & Cummins batting at 8 & 9, they have depth to their batting.
SA V BAN 3rd ODI Centurion
SA won the toss & elected to bat
SA 154 (37 overs) Malan 39 Maharaj 28 Pretorius 20 Taskin 5-35 Shakib 2-24
BAN 156-1 (26.3 overs) Tamin 87 no Das 48
Bangladesh won by 9 wickets
Lot of turning points on the final day, dropped catches, & some indifferent umpiring lead to poor use of the review system by both sides.
After coming up short in the last Test, Australia were worthy of a 1-0 series win. Cummins was named Man of the Match, as much for his captaincy, especially a tempting declaration, as for his 8 wickets. Khawaja with 91 7 104 no, had the consolation of Player of the Series with 496 runs in his country of birth.
Lyon put to bed the criticism of having a poor record when bowling in his 2nd innings, with a 5 wicket haul.
