a while since we gave them a hammering. Tongue Tongue Big Grin

Pakistan almost escaped with a draw in this Test, finally getting bowled out with 4.3 overs remaining. Fawad Alam's century, his second coming 11 years after his first, was compiled during a partnership with Mohammad Rizwan which spanned 63.2 overs.
Really enjoying the Big Bash League.
Some belting games in the last week or so.
Kane Williamson is back at No.1 in the ICC Test batting rankings for the first time since 2015. Helped by scores of 251 & 129 in the last month. Kohli is now second & Smith in third spot, the first time he's been out of the top 2 since November 2015.

South Africa trail Sri Lanka by 9 runs
Sri Lanka were moving into a decent position at 71-1, with South Africa bowling a little short on a helpful pitch. The introduction of Mulder who naturally bowls a fuller length with his medium pace, produced 3 quick wickets for him & they kept taking the edge of the bat with 9 dismissals being caught behind the wicket. Nortje bowled Asitha Fernanda to rap up the innings.
South Africa moved into a strong position by the close of play on day 1, only 8 runs adrift. Sri Lanka made 4 changes from the 1st Test defeat, & put out a very inexperienced side with very few Test caps between them. Difficult to see anything other than a South Africa win.
