^^ Worth adding that Pakistan captain, Babar Azam is almost in the same league as Williamson in terms of class, both very watchable. His fist innings 161 was at a much slower pace to his usual innings, but he rescued his side from 19-2 when he arrived at the crease, which later became 4-110. He was dopped at slip on 12 by Mitchell which could well be a pivotal moment in this match. I would imagine New Zealand will have at least reached parity by the close of day 3, it will be interesting to see if either team tries to push for victory.

Target 138 (min 15 overs)
Bit of an anti-climax as bad light ended the contest, after a surprise declaration by Pakistan, who put up a great fight with the bat on day 5. Pakistan looked quite relieved to be walking off at the end, as the Kiwis were in with a chance of chasing down the target.
India's wicket keeper Rishabh Pant has been involved in a serious car accident. He is said to be stable. The full extent of his injuries are not clear yet.

Babar has caught the Bazball/Stokes bug with daring declarations laugh
Pakistan v New Zealand Lahore Day 2 Close
New Zealand elected to bat
NZ 449 (90 overs) Conway 122 Latham 71 Blundell 51 Henry 68 no Williamson 36 Ajaz 35 Naseem 4-149 Abrar 3-71 Salman 3-75
Pakistan 154-3 (47 overs) ul-Haq 74 no Babar 24
Pakistan fought back well in the last session, after the Kiwis looked well set at 234-1. Conway, Williamson, & the dangerous Mitchell all fell inside a 7 over spell. When Nicholls & Bracewell were dismissed 10 overs later. Pakistan had taken 5-55 & had taken back control. Blundell & Sodhi batted though to the close.
Day 2 featured a 10th wicket stand of 104 between Henry (68 no) & Ajaz (35) which turned the game back in favour of New Zealand. Pakistan captain was involved in yet another run out, but Imam u-Haq looked untroubled on 74 not out, as his side trail by 295 runs.
