Kiwi Neil Wagner (37) has retired from International Cricket after he wasn't selected for the home series against Australia. He finishes with an impressive 260 wickets at 27.57 in his 64 matches. His strike-rate of 52.7 is only bettered by Sir Richard Hadlee among New Zealand bowlers with 100 or more wickets.
He will continue to play first class cricket.
What should be a cracking series starts in a little under 2 hours from now! NZ host Australia in the first of two tests (cannot understand how these 2 match contests still exist??) Both teams at full strength I believe, with the series difficult to call (maybe 1 -1 a fair outcome??) A decent nights viewing for a change!
