Josh de Caires, the son of ex-England captain Michael Atherton, scored an unbeaten century against Yorkshire for Leeds-Bradford Universities. The 18 year old is waiting to make his first class debut as University matches no longer hold that status. He has sigbed a 3 year deal with Middlesex. He retired his innings on 118 from 292 balls.
His father made just one century at Headingley (129) & his highest Test Match sore on the ground was 99 against South Africa in 1994.
