So with the summary report into racism at Essex CC now published and the racism is horrendous can we look forward to the cricket authorities punishing them as they did Yorkshire and can we see the Essex board dragged before the Culture & Sports Cttee in Parliament as Yorkshire were (deservedly). Only the summary report has been released even though the Essex board have had the full report for months.

I look forward to Essex being relegated!
^^ Southern bias I suspect, not a case of "levelling up". I always thought that Sport & politic should never mix. Yorkshire deserved punishment for not dealing with the issue, but many people excluding Vaughan, didn't get a fair trial. An Asian physio got sacked (unfairly & subsequently compensated) for speaking out against Rafiq's untruths. Not a trustworthy man, he spoke of being forced alcohol by teammates against his will & religious beliefs, yet plied an underaged teenager with drinks on a flight, & hounded her with inappropriate texts. His wife must be proud of him.
Let's not forget the ECB were culpable in much of this, it all happened on their watch & they also chose to turn a blind eye. I expect that Essex will receive nowhere near the punishment that Yorkshire had dished out to them. Essex are small fry, tiny club, they've already got a scapegoat. But if this is to be a fair & thorough independent inquiry, nothing short of relegation will suffice as the charges against them are equally damning.
