Btw, have you ever actually watched the Freeview channels to see the effect of the promos for yourselves? Their whole nature is totally obnoxious. They arrive like thunderbolts without any warning and explode out of the speakers at twice the volume of the rest of the show and onto the screen with bright, fast-changing, flashing images. It's like having a bomb go off in your face every ten minutes. They deliver a combined assault on ears and eyeballs while achieving absolutely nothing except alienating the very people they are presumably intended to woo.
Get rid of 'em.
(Then we can start talking about those ENORMOUS banners on BSXtra that say "There's a hot girl on the line" or "Less than ten minutes of Freeview left" repeated umpteen times, as if we're all incapable of reading it the first time, while blocking out the whole of the bottom half of the picture and leaving us with a view of just the girls' head and shoulders for ten minutes or more at a time.)
every company promotes it's services, I will pass on your feedback about the volume levels and timing of them, but we would be crazy not to promote our new channel. we have new viewers each night, and they should be informed of the new services. Finding a balance between catering for new customers and regular customers will always be a struggle, and as I said I will pass on your concerns and hope we can find a balance to cater for both sides.

Where/when have I ever said you should not promote the service? It's the manner in which you are doing it that's unacceptable:

Vila does have a point about the flashing nature of these promos. On a serious note about this, they could trigger epileptic seizures. Most other broadcasters issue warnings about flashing images. By all rights there should be a warning placed on the 18+ screen at the start of each show.
I would hate for BS to be in breach of any codes of conduct for not doing this, but, it needs to be looked into before something happens.

O no , do not give Cellcast any ideas about putting warning signs up about flashing lights , they will be putting warning promos to screen every time just before the promos are are sown to warn you about flashing lights , and probably when the girls are on the mic .
It's a serious issue, they only need a warning at the very start. If something were to happen and there were no warnings then things could get messy. I would have thought they were part of broadcasting regulations as every other channel seems obliged to give fair warning if any show contains flashing images.
I'm not trying to be a killjoy, I just want BS to be the best it can be.

When the Live Sex Show ad reared its head I wanted to get my torch and pitchfork out! It's too long and too in your face. The others were better and seemed less frequent and maybe not as loud. You're getting there, though I'd seriously consider putting a flashing image warning on the 18+ screen and recording a new voice-over detailing it too. Best to err on the side of caution lest you get shut down.
Oh yeah, tell Geri she can have her clothes back when she stops calling Xtreme 'Brand spanking new'!

Stevie only does "implied nude" (whatever that means) - my guess is non-explicit nude, same with most of the other glamour-girls, except the "topless only" ones, who will do even less.
