So if it only costs £5 per night as is now being said, why does the official website have a crossed out £10 and state that £5 is the introductory offer - therefore not a permanant price?

Otherwise it is false advertisement to make it appear people are getting a reduced price when it is infact the standard price

Otherwise, peoples points about it costing £10 are correct Wink

For me the real problem is the "unrestricted, uncensored" bit.

Most people believe uncensored to mean hardcore when in fact it just means there's no bits blacked out or pixellated.

As for unrestricted, if that were true then there would be no restrictions on what you could show. And yet you have repeatedly said we shouldn't expect any genuine hardcore material. Which means there are restrictions (the Ofcom code you all like to hide behind).

It would help your case enormously if you weren't so obviously using the standard adult channel tactic of exaggerating what people will see if they part with their money.

I remember a few years ago when SportXXX used to show genuine close ups of toys being used, including penetration. It wasn't every night, but it was was at least a couple of times a week, and that was £5 per night for a couple of hours of interactive girls on telephones.

You need to get your act together very quickly if you want to increase your viewing public.

Either be honest, or challenge Ofcom. After all, don't you think it's ridiculous that a pin-protected, adult verified phone payment system is considered more dangerous to children than a hardcore DVD hidden under the bed?

It would be nice to know who does use the account so we can put various points to the relevant people, instead of them only getting answered if you're lucky enough to have the right person reading at the right time.

TELLING you about top level planning, or editorial decisions... what so because we may work on the web team we aren't allowed to inform you of reasons behind certain decisions etc, and can't say we don't know the answer to a question?!

the web team look after this account, as it's on the web. we sit with the production, services and management team, and therefore pass any comments / queries / suggestions to them, and relay the answers.

i think you guys are reading too much into it.. isn't it good that you now have a point of contact? you're not going to get the CEO coming on here

It's plain and simple misleading marketing which is false, I suggest you read through trading standard regulations! Ofcom would have a field day with this.

we have removed the wording on the site

unrestricted refers to the fact that the channel video is restricted, which is when you are presented with the Babestation Xtreme URL, and once you pay the video is unrestricted on your box.

Ofcom would laugh in your face if you complained about this to them unfortunately. As you yourself pointed out they are being completely genuine when proclaiming it uncensored. Nothing is censored, just that a lot of the good stuff is cut out, but absolutely nothing is censored. As for unrestricted, that is a word which means absolutely nothing and can be stretched to apply to just about any situation they want to justify it as.

Now if you think that it is just the adult channels pulling this sort of scam, I suggest you look at the adverts on tv. If you cant find a dozen examples of this per ad break then something is wrong, it's the nature of advertising .

They should lie.
They need to lie.

Every other UK Adult broadcaster continues to do it. And the viewers are happy with being lied to.

What they shouldn't be doing is referring to the product as "flirty fun". The need to borrow a TVX style pitch:

"At Babestation Xtreme we give you the hottest, hardest, dirtiest, triple x action allowed on British TV. Get to see your favourite Babestation Xtreme stars fucking, sucking and cumming all night long on the UK's hardest channel"

They should creatively inter-cut close ups of Paige Tyler with footage of a male porn star shagging...

The other encrypted channels have used these ambiguous tactics for years. They make around £300,000,000 per annum. No one complains about their tactics. If consumers do complain on forums all you have to do is reply "Ofcom's fault, not ours. Smile You can get the hard stuff online."

And keep on calling consumers who raise their dissatisfaction as "haters", if you keep on saying it enough then it will stick.

If you need a master-class on this then PM the TVX representative on the forum.

And remember the old saying:

" He who is honest drives to Cellcast hq in a Yaris. He who uses ambiguous tactics to draw in suckers is driven to Cellcast hq in the rear of a Maybach."
Are they gonna have an actual "Live" Night on BSExtreme...with the girls who are up for it !!!

maybe later down the line

Interesting idea. But I think it would be better if they have a live segment every night. I bought a night's viewing of the old Sportxxx show once and you got a live hour and then all the recorded stuff after that.
(19-04-2010 10:51 )babestation Wrote: [ -> ]this account is setup as way we can communicate with the viewers on here, whether it be site updates, new channel info, or help / problems with our channels.. hence the general name 'babestation'

it shouldn't matter to the people on here who is behind the username at the time, everyone works at Babestation so whether it's a web tech or otherwise, if you give an opinion which can be acted upon, it will be forwarded to whoever needs to see it

So, at the risk of beating my head against a brick wall, the goal posts have moved yet again. You (whichever 'you' that was) stated previously that 'you' were just the web team, originally only concerned with the website. Then, when Xtreme was announced, suddenly 'you' were a mouthpiece for this service. Now, suddenly, 'you' are a representative of the entire company. Therein lies the problem.

It is increasingly unclear exactly who 'you' are and what your function is. But then clarity has never been cellcasts strongpoint.

So we now have a situation where because we have apparantly been talking to umpteen different people, problems have arose due to a criss cross of responses (and indeed attitudes) ultimately confusing the issue. It is also very easy, when opinion has become less favourable towards you, to hide behind a "it wasn't me it was someone else using the account" defence after snippy, argumentative comments have been made - instead of making it clear in the first place that there are, apparantly, a number of people with access to your account.

I would argue that yes, there is a problem with more than one person having access to your account. Why? Because nobody else on here would be allowed that, so why should Babestation be treated any different?

It's simple - have one person who actually uses the account, but who may get info from other sources at the company - that way it maintains some level of continuity. Alternatively - anyone else there who wishes to be of help can set up their own account on here.

We have had points of contact previously - with less confusion Wink

And, just out of interest - if there have been a number of people using this account.....why has the posting style never changed?
