Wrestlemania
Saturday
Best match by far for me on Saturday and indeed the whole weekend was Becky v Bianca. Unique offense inside and out of the ring, great back and forth countering of signature moves. Really played out for the crowd a treat. I really enjoyed it.
Charlotte v Ronda not so good. Some decent technical ability on display but for me the timing was off in some of the moves and that made it difficult for the crowd to get into. The ending was a bit lazy again and I think that continued use of that sort of controversy starts to tire after a bit. I suppose it keeps the story going for the next section of the year though.
Boogs / Nakamura v Usos was shit, McIntyre v Corbin was ok, some good selling - it was never going to be fabulous though, Mysterios v Paul / Miz was quite good, entertaining and much better than I thought it would be. Cody v Seth was a bit hit and miss, thought it took a while to get going. Again though, it might set the story up for future shows.
The KO show - meh. Predictable and gave the crowd what they wanted with Stone Cold.
Sunday
I think Brock and Reigns did well to continue that going for a while. It was very same old, same old though. Not sure if that wraps up the story, just don't really know where they go next if it does go on a bit longer. It's all a bit tiring now.
Enjoyed the triple threat and fatal four way tag matches. I think in the past they've ruined things with too many of those kind of matches but these worked for me.
Very disappointed with the Edge v Styles match. It was bizarre - they both looked knackered after only a few minutes into the match. Laboured, slow, difficult for the crowd to get into. It seemed so quiet during the match. Interesting ending though with Damian Priest seemingly becoming a member of a new heel faction with Edge.
McAfee/Theory/Vince/Stone Cold obviously a comedy set up, same for the Knoxville v Zayn madness. Entertaining for the kids and fans of the jackass show.
Lashley v Omos and Sheamus / Holland v New Day both rubbish.
