Yep called Ember Moon’s call up last night which I thought would happen given Ember dropped the nxt women’s title at nxt takeover. Quite fitting Paige did her retirement speech last night given it was 4yrs since her debut at RAW after WM in New Orleans.
Interesting to see what happens on SD tonight, esp with superstar shakeup next week. Think Carmella will cash in
Practically everyone called it on Ember after her NXT title drop. Whether she stays on RAW or goto Smackdown could still be in the air, if the rumoured roster shakeup is true. Whatever happens the women's division will be pleasantly interesting on whatever brand.
Hope they give Lashley a proper push this time, think he's better this around. And please don't keep feeding Elias to everyone, he's generating great heat, time to really capitalise on it if they get it right.
For me at WM the best match by a huge distance was Charlotte-Asuka. WWE wants to promote the women's division more and more, and rightly so - especially with moving Ember Moon to the main roster, plus there's obviously been loads of focus on Ronda Rousey's WWE debut. With all that in mind, the athleticism and technical skill on show in the Charlotte/Asuka match was excellent.
I also enjoyed Rousey/Angle v Steph/HHH, the intercontinental triple threat with Rollins winning (I called that
) and the match between Styles/Nakamura was good although the ending with the heel turn was poor for me.
Reigns/Lesnar was difficult to watch, an absolute monstrosity of a match and one of the crappest I've ever seen. Why the fuck have they worked it that way? Perhaps Lesnar just did what he always does and did it his own way, he notoriously has a history of not working matches well with opponents. I was really surprised that Reigns lost again, I mean everybody on here predicted Reigns would win. Perhaps as others have said Lesnar will be dropping the belt anyway as part of an exit storyline where he goes back to UFC. But Lesnar doesn't respect the business, the company or the opponents, where as Reigns does work his ass off, and does everything the company asks of him, even it means he generates heat off the crowd.
Undertaker's done. I said this before. Cena played along with a squash victory for the Deadman, With Taker's injuries mounting up and his body finally looking like all it's 53 years, they had to do it that way. Lame yes, because of the amount of time they had Cena promoting the match, but I suspected when it came to it, it would only have to be a quick win inside ten minutes for Taker.
I'm going to watch RAW tonight as I recorded it yesterday. News of a shakeup/draft is promising though. Will be interesting to see who moves where.
Think one move in the shakeup next week will be Charlotte Flair to raw as already rumours wwe are going to build up to Charlotte v Ronda Rousey at WM35.
As for SD tonight, think more nxt callups tonight, two being Peyton Royce & Billie Kay. WWE need to have more women on raw & sd
UPDATE: CALLED IT AGAIN!!!!! TWICE!!!!!!
Paige new Smackdown GM
have to say everytime DB gets whacked in the head i wince they Ruined Styles vs Bryan with bloody Nakamura coming in
Liked the Iconic coming in beating up Charlotte and Carmella cashing in
WWE need to bring up War Machine sorry War Raiders to shake up the SmackDown tag team scene. At at least with the Blugdeon Brothers winning there won't be Usos v New Day for a while.
Did think Paige would be a gm on raw or sd so that she’s still on screen whilst her wwe movie is being plugged etc. Interesting to see what happens once her film is out.
Very good main roster debut from Peyton Royce & Billie Kay & loved that Carmella cashed in as a result and won the title. Think this does confirm charlotte is going to raw next week in the superstar shakeup to start the wm35 feud with Ronda Rousey

It's called drama, mate
They can do Bryan v Nakkers as No 1 Contender to face Styles.

Are you kidding? How else will they determine No 1 Contenders to faces Bludgers?

Watching Charlotte drop the title to Mella had me thinking Charlotte will move to Raw in the shake-up as well (I also reckon Asuka & Alexa will go to SD) but the cynic in me says Mella is merely a belt warmer for probably Asuka at the next PPV.For me Charlotte is head & shoulders the best women's wrestler & so what better way to put over Ronda Rousey by pitting her against the best (probably penciled in for Summerslam).
It seems as though Undertaker isn't done with wrestling & is scheduled to take part at the Great Royal Rumble event in a Casket Match against Rusev which looks like being a burial match in more ways than one.
With regards to Paige's in-ring retirement I did envisage she would either get a commentators role on one of the brands or coaching up & coming talent at WWE's training centres but I was pleased she got the GM gig at SD as she'll be an on screen regular (as well as being a good talker on the mic).
It's ironic in the extreme that WWE has made all this effort with the Asuka push, and the Rousey match, to push a vague sense of feminism, and then they're going to Saudi Arabia where there won't be any women's matches, because it's still the Middle Ages there.
Anyway, sorry to read about Jerry Lawler's stroke, and amazed he recovered inside 3 days. Clearly, you can't keep this guy down for long. What year did he have some kind of near-death illness?
