How are you all feeling about Survivor Series?
Card currently looks like this:
John Cena and The Rock verses The Miz and R-Truth
WWE Championship - CM Punk verses Alberto Del Rio
World Heavyweight Championship - Big Show verses Mark Henry
Traditional Survivor Series match - Randy Orton, Sheamus, Mason Ryan, Kofi Kingston and Sin Cara verses Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes, Christian, Jack Swagger and Hunico
I just reckon that the Del Rio-Punk feud is a way to smother both of them, because after one beats the other, Cena will come in and beat the winner, thus defeating several objects
OTOH, they seem to be keeping the belt on Mark Henry, because I just can't credit they would put the belt on Big Show.
Presumably Orton & Barrett will be feuding from now on
Whether that will make a Barrett title run in 2012 more credible is another matter.
john cena and the rock, i'm calling them, "you can't see what they're cookin'"... someone get it on twitter for me
I myself don't see Cena in the title picture until after Wrestlemania, having the title involved in his match with Rock would drop a major hint at the outcome of the contest.
Wrestlemania I can see Rock/Cena of course with HHH/Nash, Punk/Miz??? for the title and maybe Bryan/Henry for the World title over on SD! or a fatal four way with Orton and Barrett in there too.
Yeah, I'm wondering if it'll be Henry v Bryan at WM, which I think might be good news for both men. They're bothering to make some fuss of Bryan on SD right now, even if it isn't entirely supportive.
Cena-Rock will overshadow everything else on the card.
It's good that they're actually giving Bryan some attention again, even if it is negative but perhaps when/if he wins the World title they will suck up to him and maybe that could lead to a heel turn...
Rock/Cena will overshadow everything else on the card, I'm still debating whether to get Survivor Series or hope to just catch it somewhere next week. Mania on the other hand I will be ordering for sure. I see today that Goldust wants a match against his brother Cody, IC Title verses Goldust's Career.
Rock / Cena will obviously win against Miz / Truth, and this match will get all the attention. But the intriguing thing will be in what manner their victory comes. Cena and Rock can't co-exist. It'll be similar to the Undertaker/Batista vs Cena/Michaels match a few years back at No Way Out. They'll put all effort into this instead of the other matches. I've ordered the SS ppv because I want to see how this Rock/Cena story pans out.
I can see the title matches finishing quickly as non events.
Its a shame that Survivor Series traditional elimination matches are few and far between these days. It used to be one of the markers of the WWE, one of the premiere events on the calendar. I love watching anything to do with team competition, so feel disappointed that there's not more of these matches on the card.
Just finished watching Survivor Series and it was actually pretty good in my opinion, One of the better ppv's this year, I was happy with the results of all the matches.
Opening match and Job Morrison lost cleanly to Ziggler which was a surprise.
Beth and Eve put on a good match and props to Eve for taking a top rope glam slam.
The survivor series match was good Although bad news about Sin Cara rupturing his patellar tendon, At first I thought it was another botch but after rewinding and watching again the injury happened right before his dive so there really wasn't much else he could do about it. I was happy about the result and that Barrett and Rhodes survived.(Not too sure about Rhodes music, Preferred his slower version)
The world title match was what it was, No surprise about the dq finish, Didn't expect Big Show to win the title and still don't expect him to win in at TLC.
Del Rio and Punk put on a good match, Back and forth action with a good finish to the match, Anaconda vice for the win!
The main event Cena/Rock vs. Truth/Miz was not bad, The Rock showed he can still go when need be and Cena spent most of the time on his ass, The result and who got the winning pin wasn't really a surprise, Typical wwe booking for you, Give the tv/movie star the win. The Cena/Rock post match confrontation wasn't anything special, Someone was going to take a finisher that much was obvious, I was happy it was Cena although he needs to learn that rolling half way down the entrance isle is way to much of an oversell.
After watching raw last night Punk/Ziggler is definitely a feud i would like to see.
Agreed, Their match was really good and Ziggler has really stepped up recently, He could become top heel on Raw.
