I would be very surprised if anything happened to Punk beyond possibly dropping the title. He wasn't punished for (allegedly) blading a few weeks ago and is one of the "Elite" superstars who is given more leniency. If anyone takes the fall for this it will be whoever didn't make sure security were in the right place to surround Punk when he went into the stands.
I do take your point ILM. I agree that losing the title will be sufficient to the company. I'm just saying that at any other company, physical assault is obvious grounds for gross misconduct and dismissal.
I'm sure someone will be held to account for this. The people in charge of security obviously failed to provide the protection for both employee and customer.

Besides, you never know, a Big Show win might cause Ziggler to cash in straight away ala Daniel Bryan at last yrs TLC. If timed right, it could slash Show's record 45second WHC reign even further.

It wasn't the worst PPV I've seen this year (Over the Limit minus Punk/Bryan takes that).
I don't have anything to crumble about when it comes to the HIAC match as I don't want to see Punk's reign end to Ryback. The way it was done was for the best and will lead to Ryback getting revenge in the ideal world last night would of been the end to Punk/Cena with Punk winning and then going on to face Ryback at Survivor Series whilst Cena was doing something else. I predict a Triple Threat at Survivor Series (would be nice if they made it a Triple Threat Elimination match).
Going forward to Survivor Series I see:
Punk/Cena/Ryback
Show/Sheamus
Kane, Bryan, Kingston, Gabriel , Santino , / Rhodes, Sandow, Miz, Ziggler, Cesaro - In the Traditional Survivor Series match or a combination similar to that

Mysterio, Cara, The Usos / The Prime Time Players, Primo and Epico - To help promote the tag team division in a Traditional Survivor Series match
Also perhaps on that card have Ziggler cash in... or maybe wait a bit longer.
Not a great ppv, I've seen worse. At least Vinny Mac didn't get his way by putting the title on his new pet monster. Too soon for Ryback to go over imo - didn't want to see Punks' lengthy reign end in such a rushed non-thoughtout manner.
On the pre-show, didn't Ziggler guarantee he'd cash-in? - another idea nixed at the last minute I guess?
Exactly, I at least want Punk to go past 365 days. Would love to see him face The Rock but would prefer to see that match at Mania.
