Can't see that ever happening. Wwe these days tend to use the divas to promote total divas and that's pretty much it and only use them in singles matches or tag matches.
This is one area where TNA is better than wwe I think. TNA give their knockouts proper storylines and they regularly do matches like streetfights, ladder matches & Last Knockout Standing.
Hope the ko's do these matches on TNA UK tour this weekend
Regarding AJ Styles. Thought he had a good debut on raw last night. As for his long term wwe future, think he'll eventually get buried because he's been in TNA. Short term he will do well
Not wanting to dwell on the rumble for too long but, interesting watching it again that the loudest pop Roman got all night was when he was eliminated.
He's MacMahon's choice as the number one babyface but obviously not the paying public's.
I thought the show was quite average really, the positives I took from it was seeing styles debut and possible fued with jericho, the continuation of the womens story buildup, bo dallas ripping into florida in the rap battle and the rocks ring segment with the new day, still think the product can be much better. The main gripe I have that makes no sense right now is the authority want reigns no one near the title yet continually put him in a position to do so which doesnt work whatsoever, at least when daniel bryan did his mania run he overcame so many obstacles and the crowd were fully behide the guy.
Agreed.
This angle has been done so many times. Most recently with Bryan.
Looking back, the rumble was basically a rehash of the 1999 rumble when Stone Cold had to come in at number one,the main differences being, the fans where behind him and he was made to look so much stronger.
It seems that way, all you need to do is replace austin with reigns and its the whole storyline booked in a similar fashion, frustrating as a fan even when your vocal the higher uppers decide who your going to cheer for and force it in a manner of control, if only there was a brand out there who actually listens to its reactions for a natural babyface and heel role, oh wait their 3rd brand does and outshines their matches and ppvs almost each and every takeover because the fans feel invested.
They rehash Austin v McMahon because it worked. Once. And because McMahon was half the equation.
They cannot recreate it with anyone else, because no-one is quite like Grand-, er, Austin. Even with the Bryan thing, that was pushed on them because they wanted Batista that year. Whenever they let the crowd appear to direct them, they bring it back to what WWE want ASAP.
Yeah,a worker can only get over Vince's way.
That's why the crowds are so indifferent live.
Just watched the first ep of lucha underground and my god it is better than some of the stuff wwe are doing. if take the wrestling out you would have the makings of a decent crime/mafia based show.
