It only seems like 5 minutes since they unified the two world titles they had. I thought the point of doing that was so that Reigns' inevitable run would have to be judged legitimate because he's the one top guy. What's to betting HHH will be able to appear on both shows when he feels like it?

Here are some news and notes regarding the brand extension according to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com:
- One of the main reasons for WWE bring back the brand split is to help increase television ratings and the ratings of Smackdown in particular, hence Smackdown becoming a permanent live show on Tuesday nights. The idea is the change will also have more people watching Smackdown live instead of on DVR.
- It’s expected that Stephanie McMahon will run one show while Shane McMahon runs the other and both are expected to be babyface characters at first.
- The belief right now is that John Cena will be the main star on one show and Roman Reigns will be the main star on the other. It’s not a sure thing that Brock Lesnar will end up being on RAW.
- The RAW crew will be doing live events on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday while the Smackdown crew will just be running Saturday and Sunday nights. It’s possible that Smackdown live events will take place again on Monday nights like in the past.
- While the plan right now is for there to be two world championships, the tentative plan for the Women’s championship is for Charlotte to appear on both shows.
- Vince McMahon is said to be “really pumped” about the new brand split and its possibilities.
I think 2 world titles could work, however both the tag and womens should be able to go from one to another the last thing we need is more championships, this could be an interesting move if done correctly but wether they stick to their guns long enough for it to effective time will tell.
I dont know could have 2 of each title and then at wrestlemania have a unifying match for each title would make wrestlemania more competetive than it has become
maybe have RAW vs Smackdown Vs NXT
i wouldn't mind the split again as long as raw and smackdown are equal in terms of stars. It's hard enough getting people to watch smackdown so they have to be fair. Just wish they brought back the world title just so it gives chances for those that have tasted the main event but then get shoved back to mid card again. Great chance for reigns also to be that big bad heel on smackdown but sadly don't see it happening, on a random note greatest thing for reigns was to join the authority but lets not go over what's already been said before
I personally think they have to many holes in their already depleted roster to pull this off.Time will tell I suppose.
If Raw is Stephanie and all the big lunks that Vince is hot for, whilst SD is Shane and all the talents that Vince hates, eg Styles, the new Cruiserweight division, etc, then theoretically, it would be a good "have your cake and eat it" idea.

I hope you're right but,I think Shane is just another egomaniacal MacMahon,I think he'll be onscreen constantly.Him and Steph will just make it about them,I'm sick of the MacMahons now,its been done to death.
I think Shane is probably the lesser of two evils.
Think shane has always been the one open to new ideas. still doesnt matter because vince still the one in charge
Watch Mick foleys interview of Shane O'Mac came across really well

Exactly and he always pisses on Shane's ideas.
Shane is just as bad as the other two fuckers,as was evident at survivor series 2001 when he took about 5 finishing moves and didn't bother selling the effects of them the next night on RAW.You can't succeed with people like that a the top. That's why WWE is in the shit now.
Shane suggested that Vince buy UFC but Vince said no. Just think that if he bought it, it would be only about the heavyweights
