Only just finished watching it myself. The singles matches....meh. Good Cena/Styles match. And Reigns/KO, likewise. But the Rumble was crap. A bunch of old geezers (and one newbie - Strowman) dominating. And they all looked shit. Jericho did zip for an hour. Goldberg's timing was all off. Lesnar, once again, came, saw, did nothing for 2 minutes, and fucked off to the back - again, with the largest pay packet of the night. But the worst performer, by a margain, was the Undertaker. He. Looked. Woeful. Fat, sluggish, slow, it was a performance that will surely lead to an impending retirement. He honestly is washed up now. And the man himself should have far too much respect for himself, and for the business, to allow this kind of 'effort' to be repeated. Just hang 'em up, Taker.
As for the winner ? More predictably lazy booking from VKM. God forbid Bray won. Is that poor cunt EVER gonna get his moment ?
Sounds like i didn't miss much. I fell asleep just after the start of Reigns v Owens and the next thing i remember is hearing Orton's music....then i went back to sleep
I watched the entire 30 Royal Rumble match on Youtube last night. Was hyped seeing Tye Dillinger from NXT make his rumble debut on Sunday night as entrance #10
. Wasn't really bothered about Orton winning, it nothing against the guy & I know it scripted & whatever, but for the love of gawd HAVE SOMEONE ELSE WIN IT FOR A CHANGE
, like Bray Wyatt, Y2J, Corbin, or even Cesaro!
I was sooo looking forward to entrance #30, was on the edge of my seat to see who would be the last superstar, could it be Kurt Angle?, Maybe Samoa Joe?, it could be Shelton Benjamin? The superstar's entrance music hits & my smiles fades and it's... Roman Reigns!
, really, Roman Reigns was #30 for the rumble; I am just saying this now, I am not one of the many haters of Reigns, I not a huge fan of him either but COME ON, WHY HIM FFS
This was my reaction & I think many others that were really upset that Reigns came out as #30:
Joe makes his debut long overdue, makes sense being sided with hunter and should make great tv, half expected to be over on smackdown but no complaints here looked strong and had a decent reaction which helped as a first impression to the audience.
yeah was a great segment cant knock HHH promo skills and fans loved Samoa joe beat the crap outta rollins
WWE. com videl of Rollins on crutches not sure if its a work or he is really injured apparently saying same knee he did last year with the ACL and MCL ligament damage
Jericho is leaving WWE in May as he is on the road with his rock group Fozzy
Watching the Undertaker in the Rumble he looked in discomfort & in a bit of pain.It clearly looks like injuries had taken their toll & retirement is surely impending after WM where he deserves a fitting send off (& winning his last match).Which would beg the question who would be his final opponent & who would be prepared to carry him through the match & be prepared to lose ?.It would be an absolute shambles if he was merely served as cannon fodder to someone like Reigns.
I did get the opportunity (when I was a mere pup) to meet both the Undertaker & his then manager Paul Bearer in person at Summerslam at Wembley Stadium in 92 & he did seem a nice guy.
Was good to see Joe finally appearing on Raw & as Triple H's new henchman is an interesting angle.Triple H along with Jericho,Rock & Stone Cold in my opinion have always been the best orators on the mic.
Continuing on from Legit Banks thread about potential upcoming matches, there are rumours on a few forums that Goldberg is expected to beat Owens at Fast Lane setting up a Title Match at WM between Goldberg & Brock (which Brock is expected to win). Regarding The Elimination Chamber Match Bray is expected to win setting up a match between him & Randy Orton at WM.I guess only time will tell if it's true or BS.
Seriously get the feeling Taker vs Reigns and Reigns wins and Taker Retires can only see it being that after he knocked him out of the rumble match.
The Rollins injury is legit , it's unsure how bad it is yet .
