ooooh thats an idea why dont we send chris back doing the middle east one Northern iraq Turkey and syria Wink half of its under ISIS now haha Maybe have anti isis slogans painted on his car or maybe having an isis flag painted on roof see he can get thru without having the RAF Drone Strike him Wink
TG could sneak across Syria with C H & M back then - not now - I'm pretty much betting it's slightly less than half is under IS control if news reports are to be believed. I like the idea of the IS flag painted on his roof would attract Drone attention -- even better!! laughBounceBounce
I prefer Bolivia though see how he copes being followed by a million Brazilian wandering spiders!! Big Grin but they also have to go through a proper drug cartel strong hold with anti cocaine messages on his car!!
They're going to South Africa this week, which is hardly all that safe (though I suspect Evans will not get shot and killed in a car-jacking somehow Wink)
what's the betting he'll get lost?
Revised viewing figures for episode 1: over 5.6mil (+ 1.2mil "so far" on iplayer) (http://www.standard.co.uk/stayingin/tvfi...61171.html)

LeBlanc offered big rise to stay for season 2: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sho...-Matt.html
Watched it last night.... oh dear Sad

First the positives..... ummmm.........ummmm.......... well, I suppose Leblanc wasn't so bad. At least his demeanour was more natural, mind you he is an actor and Evans would make Kermit look normal....

Was anyone else hoping they'd accidentally put live ammo in Sabine's car? laugh
The 3-wheeler thing was a complete waste of airtime. It would have been better to expand the Landrover challenge into something more worthwhile.
I quite liked the Nomad, though Smile

They've barely changed a single thing. I wonder how much of that is down to Evans, and how much is it the BBC making a 'statement' that TG belongs to them, whoever fronts it (like Dr Who).
If anyone missed it on Sunday, or the repeat on Monday, don't worry because it is on again tonight after Newsnight, by golly they'll get that 5 million viewer figure if they have to show it every day this week.

The BBC said that they wanted to stick to the existing format as closely as possible, for this series anyway, because they felt it would be too much change to have both new presenters and a new format at the same time.

I thought they were way past 5 million already.

Here's the iPlayer link if anyone wants to watch it online:

^ Is there an edited version without Chris Evans
The Stig spotted on a bicycle near Paddington on Wednesday - supposedly for shots for inclusion in a later episode: http://www.standard.co.uk/showbiz/celebr...61251.html
