guessing the sea is a bit to much for it cos of the waves it does look a little top heavy where the wheels come up a decent wave and could capsize and i wouldnt want to test it in the irish sea

was just about to say that dave showed the "eeny meeny" episode yesterday (Tuesday) and they are showing it this morning (Wednesday) at 8am. no doubt it will have got increased viewing figures for dave as people wanted to see what was actually aired
The 'Burma Special' is released on DVD on 2nd June and apparently that controversial word still remains intact.

No, I was wrong. Having just recently purchased this DVD and viewed it in it's entirety the offending 'S' word has been expunged. In fact the whole scene where Clarkson and Hammond are admiring their bridge building skills and when that word is mentioned has been completely removed.
I love the show, especially when they did that Car-Train special. Their challenges may be wacky but it's all terribly exciting

Yes, exactly. It's a similar, but with mainly cars, to 'It's A Knockout' for those who can recall that show from the 1970's.
I noticed Dave were re-running specials all this week in the evenings, and lo, it must be because the Burma special is arriving there next week. Presumably they've sold enough DVDs of it by now
Ofcom has found the BBC breached broadcasting rules over the Burma special incident.
Quote:An Ofcom spokesman said: “After a thorough investigation, Ofcom has found the BBC breached broadcasting rules by including an offensive racial term in Top Gear, which was not justified by context. Jeremy Clarkson used the word ‘slope’ to refer both to an Asian man crossing a bridge, and the incline of the bridge. This was scripted in advance. The BBC failed to take the opportunity, either during filming or post-production, to check whether the word had the potential to offend viewers.
Two complaints were received about it.
