spot on hannahspet. Clarkson got a lot of flack for not saying in on the show (was in a unaired clip) yet it was said at Glastonbury last night by 100,000 people as you say, yet seemingly nothing was done

excellent finale to top gear as we know it

even if hammond and may looked like they were auditioning for doctor who,thought hammond really suited the beard though.

Have to say if that last section was the last thing they filmed before the incident and they went to the hotel and there wasnt any hot food after shooting that then no wonder clarkson went apopletic with rage i would have

Yep, sad to see the end of Top Gear!

For me, Top Gear IS Clarkson, Hammond & May, so I didn’t plan to watch the PC replacement, but now that Chris Evans has been confirmed as host, the decision has been made even easier.

I liked the elephant in the background of the studio

They really could have done without the studio links, didn't really add anything to it, maybe just add a voice-over to set the scenes. If there was enough extra footage they might even have stretched both films to fill an hour each and released them as two specials.

Be interesting to see the viewing figures for this, I'm thinking it will have got a big audience, maybe enough to wipe the smug grin off Evans face.

I saw that Evans tweeted asking people to audition to join as co - hosts so he must realise that he has a hard act to follow if he his version of top Gear is going to be anything of a good success
And I hope that the last episode will make it even more harder for him
If it doesn't even last the one series the BBC will probably crawl on their hands and knees to Clarkson & Co to get them back...

I'm figuring around 6-7.5m would be great 8m tops

Great to get the chance to finally see the remaining footage,but also tinged with sadness as others have said Clarkson,Hammond and May are Top Gear,so trying to replace them is an impossible task,in summary sad end to a great format and i dont reckon Evans will last more than a series before being replaced or the show being axed altogether.
