Bounce

I have my moments, mainly at the weekend. Wink

As for Top Gear, take Chris Evans out of it and it will be a humourless perfunctory dull program.

The problem was tieing his hands together again, they tried to keep it the same old top gear.

Sabine was a tad dissapointing also, she wasn't on it a whole heap and I think it was because her English wasn't quite up to the mark.
The latest Telegraph piece (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/07/...e-of-chri/ ) offers more info on forthcoming episodes and changes. E.g. No Christmas special this year! Boohoo! Humbug to you Auntie beeb! SadRolleyes
I have no idea why the BBC don't snap up Viki Butler-Henderson

Perhaps they haven't forgiven her for jumping ship before. Tiff Needell made a few guest appearances despite that, but that was probably more to do with being chummy with Clarkson and co, and them not giving a stuff.
Besides, apparently her hubby is working on The Grand Tour, so seems unlikely she'd go to the rival, that might get awkward all round.

Saw a headline the other day that James Martin was in the frame for next series. Nothing like a chef to give a motoring show some credibility. Mind you, if they'd had a chef on board before, they might not be in this mess now Bounce
Dont know James martin did a great documentry about the mille miglia a few years back. even bought a vintage Alfa romeo to do it in

Not going down very well on This Morning.
James Martin did want the gig but was still doing that Saturday Kitchen, IIRC. Free agent now. And he does clearly care about cars (one thing I did like with the guests was the evident passion for cars of Gordon Ramsay and ones like that).

It's interesting that though Clarkson & co were clearly not short of a bob or two, and often referred to buying cars, they never gave the impression of spending silly money on very-top-of-the-range stuff (whereas Evans is infamous for it), and they did at least roll their sleeves up at times (or appear to) to tackle crappier cars. Evans never gave the slightest impression that he'd ever raised a spanner in earnest. I think Evans was probably dead in the water from that silly "downforce" pointlessness right at the start of the series, the sort of prank that suited him, but not the show.

Isn't Vicki B&H still doing rival show, Fifth Gear...? Thought they'd just bought that back on Ch5..?

If they bring in James Martin i'll never watch it; a face I wanna slap, and more smarm than Jamie Oliver.

If they wanna bring a cook in why not esteemed fishmeister, Rick Stein..? lol.
