very good opening episode of the new series
dad car was excellent, and i must admit i got a bit teary eyed thinking about a 1971 vauxhall vx 4/90 in champange starfire,a sort of watered down british version of a chevy chevelle, but at 11 ,I thought it was the most wonderful car i had ever seen
CoolCoolCool
I enjoyed it a lot too. Been to Lake Windermere a few times, good stuff. I think there's a lot of truth in the blind refusal to ask for directions Blush
That episode showed me that they are definitely the right guys for the job, it was fun, a little emotional and without ego.
The dad car stuff was brilliant, there's nothing better than fond memories of going for a drive with your parent or in my case grandparent (dad didn't drive, mum didn't drive until I was a bit older), Sunday drives, going fast over humpback bridges. lol. Happier times Smile
Enjoyed it too

Sad news from Germany.

Former Top Gear Presenter Sabine Schmitz has passed away after a long battle with Cancer. She was 51.
Yes, sad news. I recall mention made here from the last series. RIP
Rather an extended advert for the James Bond franchise, but the eco-SUV was very good, and the final showdown an interesting bit of old-vs-new.

red bull had a huge exhibition at the last british grand prix,in 2019, all these bond cars were there in a massive display, the queues to get in to see them was massive, but worth it to get up close to all these iconic cars,it was the most popular place at silverstone that weekend
Another enjoyable episode & also a tribute to Sabine Schmitz at the start & again at the end with the episode dedicated to her
