Because the people who slag it off don't actually watch it?
I've really had enough of Top Gear. Same thing over and over again Clarkson and his chums getting hardons for cars most people will never even see and then over indulgence themselves on race tracks and streets thinking they are race tracks. It's gotten boring I'm going to give the next series a miss.
I've not had enough of top gear and will be watching the next series for sure
Let me know what I've missed Rammy unless it's more of the same.
In a sea of awful programming TG is one of the few British, non-sport shows I look forward to. The fact that it divides opinion and winds some people and the press up to the point of ranting just makes me enjoy it even more, lol
I always enjoy TG and have to say in a sea of tv blandness the fact you can guarantee Dave is showing an episode at some point means that there is at least one programme I can watch in a day. I do love the programme but I can see why some people have got bored with it. Each to their own I suppose.

My thoughts exactly.
I have no interest in cars or have any knowledge about them.......But I love Top Gear Huh
The BBC have to do a balancing act with 'Top Gear'. On one hand they fully realise it is hugely popular outside the UK which earns vast amounts of money for the BBC commercial arm. On the other hand though they have to work around the fact that the presenters, especially Clarkson, seemingly take pleasure in rubbing the BBC top brass up the wrong way with outlandish (as they would deem it) comments.
Clarkson is no idiot he knows what to say and how to say it to get attention. Away from TG all three presenters have done some good stuff - Clarkson on the Arctic Convoy, James May's Toy programmes and Hammond must have done something at some point (snigger!) - Even on TG they do some good stuff like the British Car industry one on the Mall, just some times it can get tedious watching them race around a track for the umpteenth time soley for their enjoyment.
