Even more predictable, the story is from the daily mail who love to regularly bash the BBC & Top Gear.

Think the BBC will just ignore this as more daily mail BBC bashing

@Rammy: Oh I know the Mail are infamous for their anti-BBC agenda, but to be fair on this occasion I can't be sure they orginated this story - just that they were one of the first. (When linking to articles I usually try to get the earliest with the story based on Google time stamps but sometimes it's not easy to tell the first. I also try to add a link to any article with additional new detail if applicable.)
