Chelsea statement:

Chelsea Football Club has today parted company with Head Coach Thomas Tuchel.

On behalf of everyone at Chelsea FC, the Club would like to place on record its gratitude to Thomas and his staff for all their efforts during their time with the Club. Thomas will rightly have a place in Chelsea’s history after winning the Champions League, the Super Cup and Club World Cup in his time here.

As the new ownership group reaches 100 days since taking over the Club, and as it continues its hard work to take the club forward, the new owners believe it is the right time to make this transition.

Chelsea’s coaching staff will take charge of the team for training and the preparation of our upcoming matches as the Club moves swiftly to appoint a new head coach.

There will be no further comment until a new head coach appointment is made.
Tuchel sacked after 100 matches in charge of Chelsea. The first 50 matches saw 31 clean sheets and only 24 goals conceded. The second 50 saw 18 clean sheets and 53 goals conceded.
WTF???? must be one of the shortest mangerial tenures at Chelsea

No it was one of the longer ones.

Chelsea have had 36 managers in their history and Tuchel with 100 matches in charge is the 17th longest serving. Just in the Premier League era the number of Chelsea managers is 20 and Tuchel was the 8th longest serving of those. And since Roman Abramovich took over the club in 2003 Chelsea have had 15 managers and only 4 of those lasted longer than Tuchel, and that includes Mourinho twice.

So no, not one of the shortest managerial tenures at Chelsea.
Chelsea are in discussion with a possible new manager.

He is Graham Potter. With £15million compensation to Brighton.
I wonder if it will transpire that Tuchel's comments after Tuesday's game didn't sit too well with the new owners, and there was a bust up in the board room or whether Tuchel wasn't happy about the owners being in the dressing room after some games.
Somewhere along the line, I think Tuchel will reveal why he was sacked, but to me, it struck me that something clearly wasn't right on Tuesday and probably many saw that as a game Chelsea was capable of winning. The players under- performed well below what was expected probably for some reason.

Whether Potter is a good fit remains to be seen, but I'd say it would be a hard job for him to turn down, be very surprised if he didn't take it. What he has done at Brighton so far, is nothing short of stunning and can see why many clubs would be interested in him.
Chelsea have a verbal agreement with Graham Potter to be the new head coach.
Graham Potter now confirmed as Chelsea manager. It's only the second time in 9 years that at a 'Big Six' club has appointed an English manager. The other one was also Chelsea when they appointed Frank Lampard.
Things are getting desperate now. Following our 4-0 defeat at Man City, in which we managed an expected goals figure as low as 0.09, we're now willing to pay a loan fee of almost £9m just to get João Félix until the end of the season. It's a lot to pay for a loan, but I guess with 10 players injured we had to do something.
