Ashley Cole has today signed a 1 year extension to his contract, which will make next season his 8th at Chelsea.

Rafa is about evens now to be the next PL manager to go. Paul Lambert's been pushed out to 2/1 or 3/1.

Congratulations to Ashley Cole on winning his 100th cap for England in the match against Brazil last night. He joins 6 other England cap centurions - Peter Shilton (125 caps), David Beckham (115), Bobby Moore (108), Bobby Charlton (106), Billy Wright (105) and Steven Gerrard (101).

Ashley has never made a substitute appearance for England, so all 100 of his caps have been starts. He has been selected as a substitute 7 times but without being used. He was already England's highest capped full back, having passed Kenny Sansom's mark of 86 caps in Feb 2011.

Frank Lampard won his 94th England cap in the same match and scored his 27th England goal.

According to Neil Ashton Chelsea held talks with Lampard last week, and are set to offer him a new deal

Congratulations to John Obi Mikel, Victor Moses and Kenneth Omeruo who are now African Nations champions. All 3 Chelsea players were on the field for the full 90 minutes against Burkina Faso in Johannesburg yesterday as Nigeria won the African Nations final 1-0. Mikel was given the man of the match award.
