Chelsea have signed 18 year old Bertrand Traore from Association Jeunes Espoirs De Bobo-Dioulasso in his native Burkina Faso. Traore is a full international having made his debut in September 2011 a few days before his 16th birthday, and he made one substitute appearance for Burkina Faso at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations. He has agreed a contract with Chelsea until June 2018.
Kevin De Bruyne has left Chelsea for Wolfsburg. The Belgian midfielder joins the Bundesliga club after almost exactly 2 years as a Chelsea player, after signing from Genk in January 2012. He made 9 appearances for Chelsea including 4 as a substitute.

"Chelsea Football Club can confirm an agreement has been reached with FC Basel for the transfer of their 21-year-old attacking midfielder Mohamed Salah. The move is subject to the Egyptian international agreeing personal terms and completing a medical examination."

Yes Michael Essein has left Chelsea after 256 appearances, including 168 in the Premier League. Now aged 31, he joined the club in 2005 and was therefore at Chelsea for 9 seasons, although his last 3 seasons brought only 28 appearances, including 19 in the Premier League.

Chelsea's fourth and last signing of the transfer window was Kurt Zouma from St. Etienne, a 19 year old central defender who has made 52 league appearances for 'Les Verts' and scored 4 goals. The 6ft 2in Zouma is also a French U21 international and has signed a contract with Chelsea until June 2019.
