André Villas-Boas has praised the mental strength of Mikel as he has played on through the trauma of his father's kidnap ordeal. The Chelsea manager had to break news of the situation to Mikel on the eve of their opening Premier League fixture at Stoke City. Mikel also played against West Brom on Saturday.

Well that would cost about £50-60m I reckon (inc. those players going out ). Would we even be able to spend that much with FFP coming in?
(I’ve given up on understanding the FFP rules so I don’t know how much we could hypothetically spend)

Not to mention having Cavani, Torres, Drogs, Lukaku and arguably Studge all competing for one place might be a bit of a problem. Plus I’d like to see Bertrand given a chance at LB instead of bringing in a new one

I think they would be some great deals financially and would freshen up our squad
