The referee was the match winner (but these things happen, it's swings and roundabouts).

Ramires lost the plot, no doubt about that, but as Alan Shearer just said on MOTD the referee had a terrible day.

Graham Poll agrees in his Daily Mail column, even though he tends to be supportive of referees: "Chelsea have every right to feel aggrieved with the refereeing of Chris Foy at Villa Park on Saturday evening.... I can assure Chelsea fans that they won’t see him again this season."
Good goal by john terry, why didn't he celebrate it?
John Terry was still one of our best players today in a generally poor team performance. We better step it up a lot against Paris Saint Germain on Wednesday, although we do normally play better in the bigger matches.
Two shots on target against Palace....Mouriniho has a weakness, and that weakness is preferring stability and defensive robustness over attacking flair, which ultimately was his downfall against Dortmund last season (and perhaps his time at Madrid overall) and is why he won’t win the PL again as long as others don’t mess up.
It was a good achievement by Chelsea in coming from 2 goals down to beat PSG in the Champions League quarter final, but what a result for Liverpool too, since the 2 legs of the semi-final will be played either side of Chelsea's visit to Anfield. Mourinho will surely play a weakened side against Liverpool, in an effort to progess in the Champions League. In the semi-finals Chelsea will fear noone, but won't have their best players available, Matic and Hazard.
Semi-Final dates: Chelsea will play Atletico Madrid away on Tuesday 22 April and at home on Wednesday 30th. The winners will meet either Bayern Munich or Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Lisbon on 24 May.
Well done to Chelsea's youth team who have beaten Arsenal 3-1 in the semi-final of the FA Youth Cup. Chelsea are therefore in the final for the 3rd year in a row and for the 4th time in 5 years. The oppostion will be another London club, as our close neighbours Fulham are through to the final, which is over 2 legs on 28 April and 5 May.
